NBA Playoffs 2022 on Tuesday, 10.05.2022

This Bucks Celtics betting tip will help betting enthusiasts of all stripes get an idea of what to expect from tonight’s Game 4! Will the defending champions lay the groundwork to advance tonight?

What a blatant bad call: Marcus Smart took off a few seconds before the end of the game to fire the decisive three-pointer that could have sent the game into overtime – but nothing came of it, as Jrue Holiday fouled him.

For reasons I don’t understand, the referees then gave him two free throws instead of three, as the rules actually stipulate. The consequence? The Celtics ended up one point short of the equaliser!

The Bucks were thus able to save an 18-point lead, which they had built up in the third quarter, just about over the finish line! Incidentally, the script for Game 3 was very similar to that of the two previous games and allows for some interesting “betting conclusions”.

This conference semi-final is and remains a low-scoring series, in which in all probability no more than 204 points will be scored in the coming games – in any case, this mark has not yet been exceeded.

The reason for this lies in the playing anatomy of both teams, which hinders the opponent especially in the areas where they are actually best. The Celtics, for example, cannot penetrate the zone and are practically forced to take unwelcome threes.

With three bigs like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and the occasional Wesley Matthews, the Bucks have made the immediate vicinity of the basket a no-go area – and the C’s aren’t as good from distance as they are on the perimeter!

Boston again converted only 9 three-pointers in Game 3 and simply doesn’t have a true specialist to punish the Bucks for that play. The Celtics, on the other hand, can defend themselves very well!

The C’s have the best defence of the regular season and probably also of the playoffs – only Giannis Antetokounmpo eludes them again and again. The two-time MVP scored 42 points yesterday.

It is noticeable that the Greek is escaping his cover better and better and more and more effectively. Finally, the centre improved from game to game and contributed first 24, then 28 and now 42 points to the game.

In my eyes, the momentum is on the side of the defending champions. Giannis Antetokounmpo, in fact, is managing to make life increasingly difficult for the C’s, while home court advantage should once again weigh in.

The tipping point, however, could be the Bucks’ aforementioned dominance in the zone. Because this is where Milwaukee grabbed more rebounds (53:47) and scored more points (52:32) in the last game – small but decisive advantages.

Especially against a franchise that doesn’t have the disposition to dodge successful three-pointers. In addition, the C’s had a performance slump in the 3rd quarter that surprised me! Is Boston perhaps lacking experience?

One reason why I won’t be placing a win bet has to do with the Bucks Celtics odds from the leading bookmakers. Because they make it clear how unpredictable the outcome of the game is!

A win for the defending champions, despite yesterday’s victory and home court advantage, is considered only slightly more likely than a Celtics triumph to even the series, with betting odds averaging 1.90.

Conclusion: I would be reluctant to place a 1X2 bet on this game, as I think there are more promising betting scenarios that can be made based on what I have seen so far.

Indeed, it is highly likely that basketball fans will once again see a low-scoring game, with the C’s again covering their perimeter well while being forced into mostly unsuccessful three-point attempts on the opposite end.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, is my second betting option. Because the two-time MVP is getting better and better into his stride and manages to move to the basket more and more successfully. His 42-point performance yesterday left a lasting impression on me!

My Bucks Celtics tip: Antetokoumpo with over 31.5 points!
