Bayern Munich vs. VfL Wolfsburg
The coming matchday is here and the first half of the Bundesliga is over. On Friday evening, the record champions from Munich and the struggling Wolfsburg team will kick off the 17th and final matchday of the first half of the season. The visitors in particular are probably longing for this winter break, as things could not have gone worse in recent weeks. The Wolves have lost all of their last 6 competitive matches and the 2:3 defeat against Cologne during the week was the next major setback. They were also eliminated from the Champions League as the last team in their group and will therefore not spend the winter in the international arena.

Bayern Form & Balance Check
Since the unnecessary defeat against Augsburg 4 weeks ago, Bayern have pulled themselves together and have played tremendously confidently since then. There followed 6 wins in a row and especially the 5-0 win during the week was convincing. But probably the most important victory was against Borussia Dortmund, when the team won 3:2 at the Signal Iduna Park and was thus able to distance itself from the Black and Yellows. Now he has taken over for Mark van Bommel and after 3 competitive wins from the first 3 games, the team crashed and lost every single game since.
