Wimbledon Today – Matches on July 5

I’m kicking off the Round of 16 with a new sports betting bonus. I’ll be using it to enhance today’s Wimbledon tips, which I’ve carefully selected for you.

These include betting suggestions for the two women’s matches and all four men’s matches. I’ve paid particular attention to the German tournament surprise, Jan-Lennard Struff, and his match against Hurkacz.

Top-tier bookmakers like bet365 and even seasoned tennis experts worldwide are truly amazed! After all, Jan-Lennard Struff is in the round of 16 following his sensational victory over Daniil Medvedev!

However, my Wimbledon picks today aren’t just about the 36-year-old German’s performance. I’ve also taken a close look at the “women’s blockbuster” match between Sabalenka and Osaka from various betting perspectives.

Wimbledon broadcast today: Where are the matches being shown on July 5?

To watch the live broadcast of the matches I’m analyzing in my Wimbledon tips today, you’ll need a Prime account on Amazon. Since the streaming giant has secured the exclusive rights to this historic London event, all matches are streamed exclusively there!

Wimbledon Picks Today, July 5: Hurkacz – Struff (2:40 p.m.)

After falling behind in the first set, Hubert Hurkacz stepped up his game against Tommy Paul, dominated the rallies with his enormous reach, and ultimately earned a well-deserved victory in four sets. This means the former world No. 9 has sensationally advanced to the round of 16 after a long slump.

There, he’ll now face the equally sensational Jan-Lennard Struff! The German is in the form of his life and caused an absolute tournament sensation with a straight-sets victory over US Open champion Daniil Medvedev.

“Struffi” is mentally extremely stable, came back from break deficits in every set, and plays with incredible intensity on grass. Since the Warstein native is considered the underdog—even though he’s beaten tougher opponents—I’m banking on his momentum for my betting slip!

My expert tip: Struff is playing unbelievable tennis right now

Wimbledon Betting Today, July 5: Safiullin – Djokovic (2:30 p.m.)

Safiullin shines on the fast grass with his no-nonsense, extremely flat groundstrokes, which leave his opponents with no time to react. Now, however, the ultimate test in tennis awaits him in the third round: seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic.

The record Grand Slam winner did have brief lapses in the early rounds, but as usual, he fought his way through with his inhuman defensive play and tactical ruthlessness.

Safiullin will have to take risks from the very first second to stand any chance against the “rubber wall” from Serbia. But I simply don’t think he’s capable of winning more than one set!

My expert tip: Djokovic’s body is holding up!

Tennis Betting Today, July 5: Auger-Aliassime – Davidovich Fokina (4:15 p.m.)

Auger-Aliassime has yet to drop a single set throughout the tournament so far and, thanks to his enormous serving power, looks like a potential title contender. He certainly makes a really strong impression on me!

His opponent, the newly crowned champion of Mallorca, feels right at home on grass and loves to vary his opponent’s pace with plenty of spin. While their head-to-head record of 4-1 clearly favors the Canadian, this is their very first matchup on grass.

All things considered, I still see Auger-Aliassime as closer to advancing to the quarterfinals thanks to his flat groundstrokes and tremendous serve power!

My expert tip: Aliassime’s serve will be a decisive factor

Tennis Betting Today, July 5: Sinner – Mochizuki (5:15 p.m.)

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has completely regained his composure after a bumpy five-set thriller in his opening match, marked by a moment of panic (a fall that left his shoe bleeding). In fact, he’s actually getting better with every round!

In today’s round of 16, the South Tyrolean faces a thoroughly manageable challenge in Japanese qualifier Shintaro Mochizuki!

Although Mochizuki has had a sensational run, he’ll quickly reach his absolute limits against the extremely high tempo and aggressive rhythm of the seemingly unbeatable Italian. The match should therefore be over in just under two hours!

My expert tip: Sinner dominates from start to finish

Wimbledon today, July 5: Sabalenka – Osaka (12:00 p.m.)

Sabalenka shines on Church Road with remarkable maturity: She has now expanded her once one-dimensional power tennis with clever slice variations and noticeably improved net play to finally win her first Wimbledon title.

Today marks the absolute blockbuster match of the women’s tournament so far! Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka stands in her way, having reached the second week at Wimbledon for the very first time following her victory over Daria Kasatkina!

When these two reigning tennis icons face off, a brutal, fast-paced baseline battle is guaranteed. However, Sabalenka enters this match as the favorite thanks to her greater consistency and the fresh confidence she’s gained from her recent rounds.

My expert tip: Sabalenka is extremely focused

Wimbledon today, July 5: Bencic – Gauff (4:50 p.m.)

Swiss player Belinda Bencic faces an extremely challenging match today against Coco Gauff. The American also had to dig deep in the third round, earning a hard-fought victory over Claire Liu only after going the full distance.

Although Gauff leads the head-to-head series 5–2, this match on grass is a true first. Since Bencic, as last year’s semifinalist, has perfect control of the flat ball bounce on this surface, I think it’s entirely realistic for her to win at least one set.

My expert tip: Bencic hits precise shots
