Wimbledon Today – Matches on July 4

There are so many great reasons to check out my Wimbledon tips for today. Because even though the tournament is already well underway, surprisingly, there are still two Germans in the running—and we’ll see one of them this afternoon.

It’s going to be exciting! The tournament is now entering its crucial phase, which is why I’ll be paying extra close attention to my Wimbledon tips today and tomorrow. After all, two Germans still have a chance to go deep in the tournament.

Wimbledon Picks Today, July 4: Khachanov – Cobolli (1:10 p.m.)

Karen Khachanov is in top form this week at Wimbledon. After defeating Britain’s Billy Harris in four sets in his opening match, he followed that up on Thursday with a true display of dominance against Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann.

His opponent today, Cobolli, is an extremely tenacious fighter who is steadily climbing the rankings on the tour and whose strengths lie primarily in long, intense baseline rallies.

However, in my view, Khachanov enters this match as the clear favorite thanks to his vast experience on grass and his brutally dominant performance against Hanfmann.

My expert tip: The Russian is better on this surface

Wimbledon Betting Today, July 4: Lehecka – Munar (1:10 p.m.)

After his straight-set opening victory over Popyrin, Lehecka also swept the Slovak Molcan off the court on Thursday without dropping a set. The Czech served as if from another planet, firing an impressive 25 aces into the court.

With this relentless power from the baseline, the No. 13 seed underscores his justified ambitions to now defeat his next opponent, Munar, as well.

The Spaniard is actually a proven clay-court specialist who clearly feels more uncomfortable on grass and has little to counter Lehecka’s brutal pace. If the Czech serves with the same uncompromising intensity again, this will be a one-sided affair.

My expert tip: Lehecka’s serve makes the difference

Tennis Betting Today, July 4: Bergs – Fery (4:15 p.m.)

Belgian Zizou Bergs is currently riding an absolute wave of success! After winning his first ATP title in Eastbourne, he’s also playing the tennis of his life at Wimbledon.

In the third round today, he’ll face Britain’s Arthur Fery.
As the last remaining Briton in the singles draw, the unseeded youngster will undoubtedly be frenetically cheered on by the home crowd—there’s no doubt about that!

However, since Bergs is the more well-rounded player and has a much better rhythm on grass, he enters this match for a spot in the round of 16 as the favorite, thanks to his confidence.

My expert tip: Bergs heads into this match with a lot of momentum

Tennis betting today, July 4: Fritz – Sonego (2:45 p.m.)

After his straight-set opening victory over Dusan Lajovic, Taylor Fritz followed it up with another stellar performance on Thursday in the all-American matchup against Patrick Kypson.

His opponent today, Sonego, is undoubtedly an emotional player who can be extremely dangerous on grass and possesses a powerful serve.

This match could go either way, but ultimately I’m going with a tiebreak bet. Because if both players serve as powerfully as usual, the break points in this match should be few and far between!

My expert tip: There’s hardly a break point

Wimbledon today, July 4: Giron – Zverev (3:10 p.m.)

After some initial wobbles in the first round, the newly crowned French Open champion showed absolute dominance at times in his second match against Valentin Royer and cruised through without dropping a set.

Their head-to-head record, at 4–0, also speaks volumes in favor of the Hamburg native. Giron will have to bring his absolute best tennis to the court to avoid being outclassed by Zverev again, just as he was a few weeks ago in Haale.

My expert tip: Zverev won’t give his opponent a chance

Wimbledon today, July 4: Dimitrov – Berrettini (4:50 p.m.)

Tonight’s third round features a real treat for tennis connoisseurs: Italian grass-court specialist Berrettini awaits Dimitrov!

Since both pros have a long history of injury woes and play excellent grass-court tennis, this match promises to be a high-caliber battle of attrition between evenly matched opponents.

Given Berrettini’s brutal serve and forehand power, it will be a Herculean task for the emotional Bulgarian—and to me, the safest bet seems to be a classic set bet on “Over 3.5.”

My expert tip: A match with plenty of drama
