After the Grand Prix at the legendary Zandvoort circuit, the next Formula 1 classic follows this weekend: in Monza.

Date & Time: When is the Monza GP?
After the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, the Formula 1 squad heads south – to Italy, to be precise.
The Monza Grand Prix will take place on Sunday 11 September at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. The start time is 15:00.
The first two free practice sessions will take place on Friday (14:00 & 17:00). This will be followed on Saturday by the third practice session from 13:00 and qualifying from 16:00.

In Germany, the Formula 1 Italian GP will be broadcast live on TV and exclusively on Sky.
On Sky Sport F1, the Monza GP broadcast will run live on all three days – the three practice sessions, qualifying and, of course, the race on Sunday.

The circuit of the Italian Grand Prix
The Formula 1 Italian GP is run at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, located in the Royal Park of the Italian city of Monza, northeast of Milan. In 1922, this race track was opened.
The track has been changed frequently since 1922: Some chicanes have been rebuilt over time and larger run-off zones have been added to accommodate the demands of modern motorsport.
Because of the long straights, Monza is the last high-speed circuit. At around 70%, there is the highest percentage of full throttle of any Formula 1 circuit today at the Monza Autodrome.

Due to the straight track surface and the “low-downforce set-up” developed especially for this circuit, as well as the extremely flat wings, the highest speeds of the entire Formula 1 season are achieved here.
The circuit has a length of 5.793 kilometres and 11 corners. In the race, 53 laps are run here.
Record winners at the Monza Autodrome are Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher with 5 victories each. Last year, Daniel Ricciardo won the Monza Grand Prix.
Who is favourite for the Formula 1 Monza GP 2022?
Given the last few races, there can only be one favourite for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza: Max Verstappen.
The reigning world champion is currently driving in a league of his own. With his victory in Zandvoort last weekend, he won the fourth race in a row. It was his 10th GP success overall this season.
What’s more, the Monza GP is run on a high-speed track – made for the fast Red Bull bolide.
Who could stop Max Verstappen from winning for the fifth time in a row?
If the Formula 1 betting odds of the bookmakers are anything to go by, Ferrari star Charles Leclerc is seen as Verstappen’s biggest opponent at the home Grand Prix. Even if only with a respectable margin.
Because things have not been going well at all for Ferrari in recent weeks and months. After a hopeful start to the season, the team has been disillusioned by accidents, mishaps and mishaps. Third place at Zandvoort should give Leclerc hope for Ferrari’s home race.
