Tennis Tips today – Matches today 29.10.
Day two of the first round matches at the Paris Masters. Jan-Lennard Struff is also competing for Germany. The Warsteiner will face the man who beat Alexander Zverev in Vienna. Can “Struffi” do better?
He also served in Vienna, but was unable to follow up after leading a set against Alex De Minaur and had to pack his tennis bag after the first round. However, it was also the first game after the US Open, and he was struggling with a hip injury.
Musetti, Olympic bronze medalist, is definitely not an easier opponent to get back on track. Hubert Hurkacz was also slowed down by an injury in the second half of the year.
In Paris, he will face Alex Michelsen in a match between two very strong servers. In today’s tennis tips, I focus on these two matches and have two more in store, along with the appropriate odds from Betano and Co. can be seen below.
Tennis Tips Today – 29.10.2024
Frances Tiafoe was one of the sports’ fan favorites. This year, however, he has damaged his reputation with several actions, insulting referees and calling players who are not among the absolute world elite “clowns”.
After reaching the US Open semi-finals, things didn’t go well for him in Tokyo, and in the three other tournaments, he was out after winning just one match. I’m not really optimistic that he can take the Basel champion Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard out of the field.
Speaking of last week’s tournament winners. While the Frenchman celebrated his first 500 title in Basel, Jack Draper won in Vienna, beating Karen Khachanov, and will now face Jiri Lehecka in Paris.
Draper and Mpetshi Perricard didn’t have much of a break after an intense week. They only played their finals two days ago, so at least the travel distance from Vienna and Basel to Paris is manageable.

Tennis Tips today 29.10.: Struff – Musetti (11:00 am)
Without much match practice, Struff is even more dependent on his strong serves against Musetti. Ultimately, however, I don’t think he will make it into the second round. Musetti is a strong returner, has a lot of creativity and will make Struff move around a lot.
In 2024, Struff has hardly been able to make his mark on hard courts, winning only six of his 17 matches and only playing one game after a two-month break. Overall, he has four consecutive defeats, and his first serve ratio against De Minaur in Vienna was also modest. In addition to the attractive odds, Oddset offers a strong new customer bonus.
Our expert tip: Musetti victory
Tennis betting today 29.10.: Tiafoe – Mpetshi Perricard (12:20 p.m.)
Tiafoe and Mpetshi Perricard will face each other for the first time in France. The local hero recently drove his opponents to despair with his serves in Basel, not giving up a service game until his triumph. He has served over 100 aces in the tournament.
At the same time, I liked his return much better than in previous weeks. He was able to up his game in what has been the most important match of his career so far. He will need to do the same against Tiafoe, who also knows how to win points quickly after his serve has been restored.
Our expert betting tip: Over 23.5 games
Tennis Betting Today 29.10.: Draper – Lehecka (16:50)
Draper and Lehecka have already had the honor of playing against each other, in the Adelaide final in January. Lehecka was able to turn the game around after trailing in sets. This time, however, Draper is likely to leave the court as the winner.
He arrives in Basel full of confidence after his triumph in Vienna, only lost one set in the final in the city hall and is the more consistent of the two young guns. In Basel, Lehecka was soundly beaten by Pedro Martinez after the final in Antwerp.
Our expert tip: Draper win
Tennis Betting today 29.10.: Michelsen – Hurkacz (11:00 am)
The body didn’t play along in the second half of the year, so Hurkacz will miss the ATP Finals. I would have thought he could have made the top 8 otherwise. He has only played four tournaments since Wimbledon, most recently in the Tokyo 500, a month ago.
I would have expected odds of around 1.30 for at least one tiebreak, as with Mpetshi Perricard against Tiafoe. In fact, we are offered a strong 1.69 at Bet365 against Michelsen. Hurkacz is unlikely to give up many service games, and Michelsen is anything but a weak server.
Our expert tip: Tiebreak in the match
