French Open Today – Matches on May 25
If you’re looking to place French Open bets today, you’ll be spoiled for choice on this second day of competition. There are still plenty of matches to be played in Round 1 – the good news for German fans: Zverev has already successfully completed his task yesterday!
For today, Monday, I’ve personally picked out five promising tennis bets spread across five different matchups. I’ve even activated the Betano bonus worth up to 80 euros in betting capital just for this!
French Open today – May 25, 2026
I’ve specifically picked out Wawrinka vs. De Jong. The sportsbooks favor the Frenchman and underestimate that the 2015 champion still has enough power to take down the Dutchman
I’d also like to take a look with you at another intriguing match where I’d like to place a French Open bet—namely, Fucsovics vs. Berrettini. Because the favored Italian simply isn’t reaching the level he was at a few years ago…
French Open broadcast today: Where are the matches airing on May 25?
If you don’t want to miss a single French Open match today, you can watch the entire tournament live and in full on Eurosport, HBO Max, and DAZN.
French Open today, May 25: Wu – Giron
The match promises to be a long, extremely grueling battle right from the start. Since neither player has really impressed on clay this spring, a straight-sets victory is quite unrealistic.
While Wu is likely to shine with his aggressiveness early on, Giron’s physicality will inevitably drag the match out as it progresses. Whoever wins the first set will probably lose the second.
My expert tip: Could even go to a 5th set!
French Open today, May 25: Cerundolo – van de Zandschulp
Despite some inconsistent form, the Argentine enters this first-round match as the clear favorite. His physical conditioning currently far surpasses that of his Dutch opponent, especially since the latter appears physically weakened following health setbacks.
This presents Cerundolo with the perfect opportunity to secure a commanding opening victory and nip any drama in the bud right at the start of the tournament. I don’t see him running into trouble until he faces a top-20 player later on.
My expert tip: Clear difference in quality
French Open today, May 25: Fucsovics – Berrettini
Although the favored Italian has more potential in terms of play, his physical condition ahead of this grueling opener against a capable opponent raises serious questions. His long absence from Paris only makes his tricky task even more difficult!
However, since Fucsovics himself lacks the consistency needed to completely dominate the struggling Berrettini, this match is inevitably heading toward a close contest—nevertheless, the Hungarian should take at least two sets!
My expert tip: Berrettini too inconsistent again
French Open today, May 25: Cobolli – Pellegrino
This all-Italian showdown promises to be highly explosive due to the favorite’s extreme inconsistency. Since Cobolli is prone to costly slumps when he lacks rhythm, the in-form Pellegrino sees this as his big underdog opportunity.
Even if the favorite ultimately wins, the challenger has enough skills to dictate the match, at least in phases. A set win by the world No. 126—preferably in the first set—is therefore entirely possible!
My expert tip: Cobolli will have another slump
French Open today, May 25: Wawrinka – De Jong
The 2015 champion’s farewell tour kicks off with a true generational showdown. Although De Jong, as a talented young pro, is the favorite, the Swiss player will mobilize every ounce of energy he has left for his final appearance in Paris.
His invaluable experience on the biggest Grand Slam stage in five-set matches gives the veteran a real chance of advancing to the second round. Especially since De Jong actually failed to qualify and only made it into the main draw after Fils withdrew.
My expert tip: Wawrinka’s experience will help him
