French Open Today – Matches on June 5

Today marks the last day of the French Open with multiple singles matches on the schedule.

But don’t worry—the exciting 2026 World Cup and the many betting opportunities that come with it are just one week away! In the meantime, I’ll try to answer the question of whether Zverev will reach a Grand Slam final for the fourth time in his career.

French Open today – June 5, 2026

Mensik vs. Zverev is, of course, the match I’m most interested in at the French Open today. Just like in 2024, “Sascha” is aiming for another appearance in the Roland Garros final.

However, the Czech has fully recovered from his cramps in the second-round match against Navone and, in my opinion, will deliver a solid performance!

In the other semifinal, I’ve also turned my attention to the all-Italian showdown between Arnaldi and Cobolli.

That said, I’m clearly leaning toward Cobolli here, as the 24-year-old seems the more complete player of the two and could even challenge Zverev for the title as the tournament progresses.

French Open broadcast today: Where are the matches being shown on June 5?

The clay-court tournament in Paris is entering its decisive phase, and fans can follow every second of the matches today via livestream on Eurosport, DAZN, or HBO Max.

French Open today, June 5: Mensik – Zverev

This semifinal promises pure drama on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Jakub Mensik was often considered vulnerable in the best-of-five format due to his physical limitations, but this match feels like a fresh start for him.

He comes off an extremely dominant victory in the quarterfinals without dropping a set and benefited from a full day of rest—so physically, the Czech youngster should be significantly fresher than in previous rounds.

Combined with his fearless ability to massively raise his level against top-tier opponents, Mensik is more than capable of posing huge problems for Zverev right from the start.

Nevertheless, the German enters this match as the favorite. Zverev is the more physically proven player in long battles, brings immense experience from countless late-round Grand Slam matches, and boasts an outstanding tiebreak record at the French Open.

This factor gives him the confidence needed to maintain the upper hand in the tight, match-deciding moments.
Since Mensik serves hard and fearlessly, but Zverev possesses greater consistency over the long haul, I’m predicting a 3-1 or 3-2 win for Sascha.

My expert tip: Mensik could give Zverev trouble at times

French Open today, June 5: Arnaldi – Cobolli

The difference in performance between these two players is by no means as great as the current rankings suggest—especially considering that Arnaldi’s ranking this season has suffered greatly due to his fitness issues.

A head-to-head comparison also underscores just how evenly matched they are: Each brings very specific strengths to the table and is absolutely capable of beating the other on red clay.

Nevertheless, Cobolli has a clear advantage when it comes to freshness. He has breezed through the tournament and has dropped only two sets in total, while Arnaldi has had to survive several brutal, grueling matches.

Another key statistical factor is Arnaldi’s dismal 0-3 record in semifinals at the tour level. Expecting him to secure his first semifinal victory on the very big Grand Slam stage of all places is asking too much, given his depleted energy reserves.

I also really loved Cobolli’s fighting spirit against Auger-Aliassime! He gave it his all after every point won, impressed with an outstanding forehand, and if he had a better serve, I’d even think he could give Zverev a run for his money!

My expert tip: Cobolli is the more complete player
