Iga Swiatek is out, now SHE is the big favourite to win the Wimbledon title! Ons Jabeur, a player from Tunisia, could celebrate the biggest success of her career on Saturday in the women’s singles, the world number 2 has the best chances to win the trophy.

Will 2022 be her year? While the world is mainly looking at high-flyer Iga Swiatek, Ons Jabeur can keep playing her way up in her shadow. With her victories in Berlin and Madrid, the Tunisian has already won two titles.
The Berlin title was seen as a sign of things to come at Wimbledon, and rightly so. She had lost only one set and also beat Cori Gauff. Jabeur then cancelled Eastbourne in order to fully prepare for the Grand Slam.
Here, her opponent Swiatek has already been eliminated and Jabeur is therefore the top favourite for the title. As strong as her year was in 2022, this would undoubtedly be the crowning achievement for the currently second best tennis player in the world.
Her performances in the English capital have been absolutely impeccable. Mirjam Björklund (6-1, 6-3) and Katarzyna Kawa (6-4, 6-0) were no problem at all, and the 27-year-old was in Round 3 in no time.
Diane Perry couldn’t keep up at all either, losing 2-6, 3-6. Only Elise Mertens, who had sent German hope Angelique Kerber home earlier, was able to put Jabeur to the test once.
Despite a few difficulties, it all didn’t help, this match also went to Jabeur. Her 7-6, 6-4 may have been close, but she showed quite strong nerves. Even if she is at home in the world elite, all her statistics do not read consistently.
On her own serve, for example, there are a few uncertainties now and then, against Mertens she won only 42% on the first service. The bookmakers think: It’s still enough against Marie Bouzkova.

My Bouzkova Jabeur Tip
For Ons Jabeur, this weekend could be a dream come true, she is most expected to win the Wimbledon title. That doesn’t surprise me after my analysis, because the Tunisian is storming through so far without losing a set.
Marie Bouzkova is of course not to be underestimated, after all she has already knocked out two strong Americans, Alison Riske and Danielle Collins. But with Jabeur’s run, I don’t think she’ll let anything slip in the quarter-finals.
