NBA 2022/23, on Wednesday, 08.03.2023
For tonight, I took a look at the NBA schedule available in the course of Bet365 Sportsbook to scour it for a particular promising matchup.
The result of my research was a Magic Bucks tip that makes me feel very confident. Not least because the Green and Whites could beat the Floridians for the 14th time in a row!
Readers who regularly access our NBA picks know that I’ve been right on several games of the often unfairly underrated Magic against top teams. But now, as it slowly but surely approaches the finish line, the room for surprise is shrinking.
The Floridians are certainly on a good path as a franchise in the long run, but will need a few more years to fully develop their promising talents and finally get a taste of play-off air.
At the same time, the injury absences have increased recently, while the upcoming opponent is so good on the road right now that I can’t avoid an away win bet on the Bucks for tonight
Interestingly, in some ways, the Floridians’ recent performances seem to be like the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. For as many as 12 NBA games, a win the night before has always been followed by a loss in the next game.
Since the Magic most recently lost narrowly 119-122 to the Portland Trail Blazers, according to this logic, the upcoming matchup against the Eastern Conference leaders would have to be won.
However, I think there will be a reversal of this trend for the first time since the beginning of February. Because the injury woes are increasing and the opponents are currently going through an absolute high – even if Khris Middleton is injured once again.
But first things first: Orlando’s Jonathan Isaac – as they say in American – has undergone a “season-ending” operation that will deprive the team of a useful supplementary player from now on.
But much more significant is the loss of Wendell Carter, who was on the floor just a few days ago in the last duel against the Bucks. However, even his 19 points could not prevent the relatively clear 117-139 defeat against Milwaukee.
With Carter out tonight, Orlando’s home court advantage in the rematch should become less important as a result. Add to that the fact that the Eastern Conference leaders currently seem to be playing their best basketball of the season!
Giannis Antetokounmpo converted 31 points against the Magic a few days ago and just topped himself Monday night in a 117-111 win over the Wizards with his fourth triple-double of the season.
It is unbelievable what the Green-Whites are currently capable of. After all, there is no NBA team that can claim to have won 17 of its last 18 regular-season games.
Since the “Greek Freak” is in an outstanding condition anyway, it is currently not to be assumed that the Floridians, weakened by substitutes, will be able to offer more resistance tonight than they did a few days ago.
Just as we have to meet various criteria in our bonus selection so that we also recommend a sports betting bonus to our readers, certain statistical requirements apply to me for an away win bet.
For example, I feel much safer putting my money on the Bucks when I know that the Green and Whites have already won 13 NBA duels in a row against the Floridians.
It has hardly ever been close during this period. The most competitive matchup in recent years between the two franchises was a 109-102 win in favour of Milwaukee on December 6, 2022.
The day when sports bettors favour the Flordians on the betting markets before a match-up against the Bucks has yet to arrive and is seemingly several years in the future.
As a result, it should surprise no one that another win by the current Eastern Conference table-toppers is trading at odds of just 1.36.
Summary: Now that the end of the regular season is slowly approaching, it is easier for the big teams to win, while the franchises at the bottom of the table are no longer able to put up much of a fight.
The Floridians will be without key centre Wendell Carter, and the underdogs against the Bucks in recent years have not even been able to contribute to a close match, even with their best line-up.
Consequently, Milwaukee should be able to celebrate another commanding victory over Orlando tonight – especially in the shape Giannis Antetokounmpo is in at the moment. But be careful not to overdo it with the handicap betting.
My Magic Bucks tip: Milwaukee wins at HC -4.5.
