When FC Bayern host FC Barcelona, the arena will be on fire! The hall, not the arena? Fact, because this time it’s not soccer in the Allianz Arena, but basketball in the Audi Dome.
One FCB is favored against the other, and from a German perspective, I only have the underdog role to offer here. My Bayern Barcelona betting tip should therefore tell you why I’m clearly backing the visitors and why I think they’ll win in regulation time.

Top in the Bundesliga, flop in the Euro League? It sounds very harsh, but unfortunately the comparison is not entirely wrong from FC Bayern’s point of view! Munich lead the league ahead of Chemnitz and Berlin, but they are also aware of their very narrow lead.
20 wins and four defeats is a record they can only dream of in the Euro League. The league comprises 18 teams, with Alba Berlin representing the German colors alongside FCB.
Unfortunately, their record is extremely poor, as the capital city team is at the bottom of the table with five wins and a whopping 26 defeats. Bayern, on the other hand, have at least 13 wins
The top six qualify directly for the rest of the competition, with four others playing for two extra places. FC Bayern would therefore have to finish at least tenth to avoid elimination.
The gap is actually very small, but a number of teams are still fighting for it. In this respect, the following applies: they cannot afford any more slip-ups and must actually win against FC Barcelona.
The Euro League is undoubtedly not yet the Germans’ favorite competition, as FC Bayern’s best result to date is a quarter-final appearance in the 2020/21 season
Last Sunday, this match is considered the official dress rehearsal, Munich won 81:80 after overtime against Hamburg in the league, but that is definitely not a benchmark.
74:89 against Maccabi, 68:70 against Valencia, 64:58 against Zalgiris and 86:109 against Anadolu Efes – three of the last four games in the Euro League ended without points for the Bundesliga club.
The goal difference is negative overall, with Bayern conceding more than 81 goals on average when they play in Europe. By comparison, they concede 77 in the Bundesliga
No question, FCB are much less feared internationally than they would like. And then there’s the direct comparison against FC Barcelona, which is not at all positive.
Five wins and 13 defeats – that alone makes it clear who the favorites are on Thursday. But it gets worse, because Bayern fans can (unfortunately) still remember how the most recent duel ended.
They went down 59:98 in the Catalan metropolis in November 2023! They have lost consistently for the last four games, so the odds of our betting providers are understandable
FC Barcelona, together with AS Monaco, are currently tied third in the Euro League, so they are in a completely different league here. And lo and behold: just like in soccer, the club is only behind Real Madrid!
Incidentally, things are no different in the Spanish league, where the Whites are also at the top, while Barca “only” occupy third place. Compared to FC Bayern, the situation is quite different here.
Monaco, Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos? The three clubs that Barcelona have lost to in the Europa League in recent weeks can be found high up in the table, in areas where Bayern unfortunately cannot be found
In soccer, Germany’s FCB may be on a par with Spain’s, but in basketball, unfortunately, there’s not much evidence of that. While the Catalans are at the top, Bayern are almost out of the Euro League.
Both the direct comparison and the current results have shown who is likely to have the edge here. That’s why I’m not going to beat about the bush, but instead I’ll go straight for the win after regular time and say:
