Bremen Form & Balance Check
Bremen will be quite happy with their first game of the season. Away against Augsburg, the game entered a very fast-paced phase in the tenth minute, with both teams creating and taking their chances. Bremen scored first, but conceded the equalizer less than five minutes later. The hosts then managed to take the lead shortly before the break.
However, Bremen never gave up after the break. They had more possession, but initially failed to convert this into compelling chances, but this changed in the 58th minute when Njinmah jumped higher than everyone and headed the ball in to make it 2:2. Dortmund have also made a good start to the season. However, the first matchday was also something of a must-win for them. At Signal Iduna Park, Borussia Dortmund had to face Frankfurt, who were known for playing very fast-paced soccer. The match began on an even keel and BVB found it extremely difficult to become really dangerous.
There were a few isolated chances up until the break, but they were hardly worth mentioning, which is why the game went into the break goalless. Frankfurt came out confidently afterwards and had the chance to take the lead through Chaibi, but he failed to hit the empty net from point-blank range. Bremen will probably start in a 3-5-2 again next matchday, a formation that moves into a back five against the ball. In comparison to last week, Ole Werner will probably rely on goalkeeper Njinmah, but Topp will have to sit on the bench for the time being. Bittencourt and Alvero are both options for the center, otherwise everything remains the same in terms of personnel.
