Kamada says goodbye
It has already been clear for a few weeks that Daichi Kamada will not extend his expiring contract at Eintracht. Just in time for the end of the season, the Japanese seems to have finally overcome his crisis of form. Against Schalke, he scored the interim 1:1, which means that the 26-year-old has now scored three goals in the last two games.
Before that, however, the attacking player waited a long time for something tangible. Kamada went 13 games without scoring a goal. The last goal scored by Frankfurt’s number 15 was in October 2022 against Dortmund. With nine goals and six assists, the Japanese player is nevertheless playing a very solid season.

Freiburg form & balance check
After beating Wolfsburg 2-0 the previous week, SC Freiburg are on 59 points this Bundesliga season. The Breisgauer thus scored the highest number of points so far this season since the introduction of the three-point rule in 1995, making SCF’s season already historic.
Coach Christian Streich and his team can even make themselves immortal on the Dreisam on the last matchday. Before the last matchday, SCF is in fifth place in the league. This means that Freiburg already has the Europa League safely in the bag. But with their own success in Hesse, the Breisgauers still have a chance of reaching the top flight. This has even set the club record. Goalkeeper Mark Flekken has been in goal for the Breisgau side in all of these 13 games. However, the three extremely high defeats against Bayern, Wolfsburg and Dortmund (5:0, 6:0 and 5:1) destroyed the Breisgauer’s otherwise so good goal ratio.

The Eintracht will again go into the game in their well-rehearsed 3-4-2-1. Kolo Muani will possibly play for the last time in front of the home Frankfurt crowd. For Daichi Kamada, Saturday will definitely be the last home game in the Eintracht kit.
Freiburg recently played very successfully against VfL Wolfsburg in a 3-4-3, and we expect the Breisgauer to play in this formation at the weekend as well. Nils Petersen will come off the bench again. Nicolas Höfler, however, will be missing after his red card the previous week.
