AC Milan vs. Inter Milan
The first Milan derby is already on the 4th matchday of the Serie A at the San Siro. AC Milan, sixth in the table, will receive Inter Milan, second in the table. Kick-off is early Saturday evening at 18:00.
The hosts are still unbeaten in the current season, but due to their two draws they still have one point less on their account than their upcoming opponents, who have suffered one defeat in addition to three wins so far. The main thing on both sides, however, is that the start to the season has been successful and they have established themselves early on in the upper third of the table.
The battle for the championship could get really exciting this year, as AS Roma and Juventus Turin also start the season with title ambitions. Who we think can take the next three points in the Milan derby is now revealed in our Milan vs Inter betting tips.

Milan Form & Balance Check
The hosts secured their first league title since 2011 last season and are desperate to re-establish themselves in top-flight European football in the coming years. In this respect, the transfer summer has already been quite promising. Apart from Franck Kassie (FC Barcelona), the Rossoneri did not have to give up any key players and with Mailck Thiaw (Schalke), Charles De Keteleare (Brugge), Junior Messias (Crotone), Alessandro Florenzi (AS Roma) and Divock Origi (Liverpool), the Milanese have bagged several promising new arrivals.
Away still without a win
However, the start of the new season did not go quite as planned. Milan won their two home games against Udinese (4:2) and Bologna (2:0) in relatively commanding fashion, but the away games at Atalanta (1:1) and last weekend at Sassuolo (0:0) both ended in draws. Thus, the Rossoneri have already left more points on the line after four games (4) than they did in the first eleven games combined last season (2). However, nobody could have expected Stefano Pioli’s team to get off to such a gigantic start as they did last season with an initial 31 points out of a possible 33.
Milan facts & analysis
– 8 points from 4 games
– Last played 0-0 at Sassuolo
– Drawn 2 times away so far, won both games at home
Inter Form & Balance Check
Inter Milan have made a similar start to the season as their upcoming opponents and city rivals AC Milan. The Nerazzurri struggled for a long time in Lecce, but still managed to win 2-1 thanks to Dumfries’ last-minute winner in the 90th minute. They followed up with a commanding home start against Spezia (3-0), before Inter also had big problems in their second away match at Lazio Roma. At the Biancocelesti they even suffered their first defeat of the new season (1-3).
Home games without problems so far
The second home match in Serie A, on the other hand, went very well again last weekend. The Nerazzurri took a 1-0 lead against Cremonese through Joaquin Correa after just twelve minutes, and Nicolo Barella made it 2-0 before the end of the second half (38th). A quarter of an hour before the end of the game, Lautaro Martinez increased the lead to 3-0, the Argentine scoring for the third league match in a row. However, the second 3-0 home win in a row was not to be. Okereke’s goal in the 90th minute to make it 1:3 was the only stain on Inter’s otherwise white home record.
Inter facts & analysis
– 9 points from 4 games
– Last win 3:1 against Cremonese
– So far always scored in the 2nd half
Predicted line-up – last update on 2 September 2022
The hosts continue to be without the services of Zlatan Ibrahimović and Rade Krunic, while Alessandro Florenzi is also out until further notice with a muscle injury. He could be replaced by Davide Calabria. Sandro Tonali could start for Tommaso Pobega.
Inter could remain unchanged compared to the 3:1 against Cremonese. However, it is also conceivable that Romelu Lukaku, who has been missing recently due to muscular problems, returns to the starting eleven. He would probably replace Edin Dzeko.
