Five games are scheduled in the BBL Finals, but will we even see that many this year? Alba Berlin is leading 2:0 against FC Bayern, so already on Friday the capitals can use their first match point.
So far, their opponents don’t seem to be able to pull themselves together again. The bookmakers have found their clear favourite for game number three with betting odds of approx. 1:40 to 2.80.

Was it to be expected that Alba Berlin would overtake FC Bayern in the BBL Finals so quickly? Two very commanding performances have ensured that there will be a match point in front of their own fans next Friday.
Already in the first encounter, the Berliners left no stone unturned, securing an 86-73 at home. Actually, the Bavarians wanted to strike back in the Audi Dome, but the guests arrived in a hell of a shape.
The 71-58 clearly showed that the players want to decide the title fight in only three matches. A 7-2 score was already on the scoreboard in the third minute, so the course for the second win was set early on.
38-26, that was the score after the first half. Towards the end of the game, Alba took it a little easier, but the 2-0 win in the best-of-5 series was never seriously threatened and was fully deserved in the end.
Berlin is currently working on reducing the gap in the direct comparison. The FCB is still leading 38:27, but the last three duels all went to the capital.
Now Alba has the chance to make the title hat-trick perfect. The team has already celebrated in 2020 and 2021; in the two years before that, FC Bayern lifted the trophy twice.
There is no question that the team deserves to celebrate on Friday. Coach Israel Gonzalez’s team could not only win the title, but also win their 19th match in a row – a crazy record.
In any case, there will be plenty of motivation when the two clubs face each other in the capital on Friday.
1.40 to 2.70 on average, the bookies know, of course, that even with a win Bayern could only shorten and fend off the first of two match points. The mood at FCB is not good, of course.
“We had a very bad first half on the offensive. We tried a few things in the second half, but it definitely wasn’t enough. They were better. But never stop fighting,” coach Andrea Trinchieri dabbled in purposeful optimism.

The neutral fan had probably hoped for five gripping final duels, but Alba Berlin seem more interested in a quick resolution. The capitals are rushing from victory to victory, did not even let FC Bayern sniff at a success.
Not a few people are asking themselves: Why should the team get the jitters in front of its own fans of all people? With 19 wins in a row, there is really nothing in my analysis to suggest a sudden defeat.
In the second match, I was particularly impressed by the fact that Alba, despite playing away from home, started like the fire brigade. The Munich team never recovered from this big deficit.
That’s exactly the direction I’m going in for the third match, which will also be the last one in my eyes. Once again, I expect Alba to get off to a really good start with their own fans behind them. Therefore I bet:
Alba leads at halftime against Bayern!
Especially as the betting odds here are also a little higher at around 1.50 and, in view of the defending champions’ performance so far, promise value in my opinion.
