Real Madrid vs. Levante UD
Real Madrid were on cloud nine after reaching the Champions League final. Justifiably, the Madrilenians let themselves celebrate. Even before the second leg against Manchester City, it was clear that the royals were the winners of the competition, at least in La Liga. Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s side wrapped up their 35th Spanish championship early on with a 4-0 home win over Espanyol Barcelona. After the energy-sapping second leg against the Skyblues, it was therefore clear that Real would not be fielding their usual starting eleven in the capital derby against Atletico. As a result, the white ballet lost 1-0 to the Rojiblancos without Benzema and Co. Even though Real are already champions, the royals do not want to give away the rest of the season. Real wants to correct the derby defeat with a home win over Levante.
UD Levante left the bottom of the table for the time being with a 2-1 home win over Real Sociedad San Sebastian, confirming their upward form curve. However, coach Alessio Lisci’s team must catch up a full five points on Granada to reach a non-relegation spot. With only three games left, it is almost impossible that Levante will manage to stay in the relegation zone. But the bats are not giving up and want to continue their run at the Santiago Bernabéu. Find out if Real Madrid will actually drop points against Levante in our Real – Levante betting tip.

Real Madrid Form & Balance Check
Despite the premature championship, coach Ancelotti and especially the fans will not have liked Real losing the capital derby against Atletico with 0:1. Of course, Ancelotti spared his best players around Benzema, but a derby defeat is not warmly welcomed in any statistics. In La Liga, it was the first defeat for the royals after the bitter defeat in the Clásico against Barcelona. There are five games between the two failures. In fact, Real won all of those games. This is another reason why Madrid could become champions early.
Real dominates everything
Real Madrid have scored 73 goals so far. This makes the Madrilenians the best offensive team in Spain. With only 30 goals conceded, the royals conceded only one more than Sevilla and thus have the second strongest defence in La Liga. They also have the best home record in the league. Together with city rivals Atletico, Real are in first place in the home table. Away from home, however, Ancelotti’s team does not have to share the top spot. With 41 points, no one has collected as many points away from home as Real Madrid.
Real Madrid facts & analysis
– Real Madrid are already early champions in La Liga with 81 points.
– Before the defeat against Atletico, Real won five games in a row.
– Real won their last home game 4-0 against Espanyol.
Levante form & balance check
UD Levante are deep in the relegation battle. The team from Valencia still has to make up five points in order to be in a non-relegation spot. With a maximum of nine points left for the bats, staying in the relegation zone seems like a Herculean task. However, coach Lisci’s team is on the up. Levante lost only two of their last five games and even won two of them. Just last Friday, the Valencians won 2-1 against Real Sociedad.
First ten points away
Despite the win behind them, Levante will obviously not be favourites in Madrid. Looking at the away table, it is also clear why the bats may be relegated. Levante have only picked up ten points from 17 away games this season. Eleven of the 17 away games were lost by the bats. This makes Levante the fourth weakest away team in La Liga. In addition, the Valencians have already conceded 38 goals away from home. With a total of 67 goals conceded, no other team has conceded as many as Levante so far this season.
Levante facts & analysis
– Levante are 19th in the table with 29 points.
– Most recently, Levante won 2-1 against San Sebastian.
– The bats present the worst defence in La Liga.
Predicted line-up – last update on 10 May 2022
At Real Madrid, coach Ancelotti will now end this close season. The Royals will play the Champions League final on 28 May and will want to be in strong form by then. Madrid will play Levante in their usual 4-3-3 system with the familiar starting eleven.
Levante won in San Sebastian with a defensive approach to the game. The bats operated in a defensive 5-3-2 system and lurked for switching situations. In addition, the Valencians rely on standard situations.
