It’s that time again! Once a year, the All-Star Game features everything the NBA has to offer. Team LeBron will try to defeat Team Durant again this year, using tried and true methods.
According to my All-Star Game prediction, the mixture of LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry will once again ensure a clear situation. Especially as the latter two were already decisive in the last edition.
Even the first picks in the All-Star Draft made it clear to me that LeBron James will probably win again! Because, of course, the NBA icon used his first pick to once again put Giannis Antetokounmpo on his Dream Team.
That alone may have set the stage for another win in the All-Star match. Because last year it was the Greek, of all people, who scored the most points (35) in the 170-150 victory over Team Durant.
But it gets even better: The King was able to secure Stephen Curry with his second pick, the best shooter of his generation, who also gave James a big boost last year (28 points).
This means the Lakers superstar has almost put together the same team that helped him win last year! Why even go into big experiments when you can fall back on players like this?
By the way, the outstanding DeMar DeRozan from the Bulls will also play together with LeBron James – a better starting five is almost impossible to put together. Of course, the opponents also have potential.
Team Durant will be without their captain, who is still suffering from a persistent injury. But with Joel Embiid from the Sixers, he will be splendidly represented, and Devin Booker was also an excellent pick.
Thus, at two or three positions, Team Durant can easily compete. With both starting fives teeming with superstars, strictly speaking there are no real weaknesses – yet I’m sticking with James.
Because on the opposite side, for example, you’ll have an Andrew Wiggins from the Warriors who, while good, is a slight weakness at this level. You also lack a balance between offence and defence.
A perfect balance, on the other hand, is definitely present in LeBron’s Dream Team. With Antetokounmpo, James and DeMar De Rozan, this starting five provides a huge physical presence in the half-court, while Stephen Curry can strike from distance at any time.
LeBron just has the nose when it comes to putting together the perfect team. In fact, I can see the Lakers icon himself calling the shots on the sidelines in the not-too-distant future.
His side has won every one of the four games since the format was introduced! This will be the second game in a row against Team Durant, following the 170-150 win last year!
American as well as German bookmakers agree with my prediction – because they also think that the mixture of LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry is too much for any basketball team in this world.
In addition, a win for Team LeBron is being traded on the betting markets at odds of around 1.45, while a win for the selection of the injured Kevin Durant will result in an approximate tripling of the bet.
Furthermore, it is likely that we will get a game with a lot of offensive spectacle, just like every year! After all, 320 points were scored in the last edition alone!
Conclusion: The bookmakers’ odds have moved further in the direction of a clear victory for TeamLeBron’s selection shortly before the start of the All-Star Game – and rightly so, because the latter simply provides the better starting five.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry are the best the league has to offer at their respective positions. Moreover, both superstars were already decisive in the last edition.
So we can expect another victory for the “LeBroners”, who already showed Team Durant the back lights last year and have also never lost an All-Star Match under the leadership of the NBA icon!
