French Open Tips today – Matches today from 07.06.
Alexander Zverev is only three matches away from his big dream. He is through to the quarter-finals of the French Open after a dominant win over Grigor Dimitrov.
If he wins the last three matches, it could be his first Grand Slam triumph. In the round of 16, the Hamburg native prevailed 6-1, 6-4, 6-3.
An impressive performance against a player who has not lost a set at the French Open before, just like his next opponent in the quarter-finals.
On Wednesday, he will meet the up-and-coming Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The Argentinean took Borna Coric out of the tournament, among others. However, Germany’s Olympic tennis champion is still the favourite.

French Open Tips Today – 07.06.2023 Preview Day 11
The last semi-final tickets of the French Open will be played on Wednesday. Besides Zverev and Etcheverry, Holger Rune and Casper Ruud will meet again.
It is already the sixth duel between the two Scandinavians. Shortly before the French Open, the Dane scored his first win against last year’s French Open finalist at the Masters in Rome.
The winner of this match would meet Zverev if he gets his own task solved.
It would be his fifth semi-final appearance in a Grand Slam tournament and third in a row at the French Open.
The women’s matches will also be top-class. Beatriz Haddad Maia has to play Ons Jabeur. In addition, high-flyer Iga Swiatek and Cori Gauff will meet.

French Open tips today 07.06.: Alexander Zverev – Tomas Martin Etcheverry (11:00 am)
For the recently louder critics, Alexander Zverev’s entry into the quarter-finals should already be a surprise. After the opening win against Lloyd Harris, he prevailed against Alex Molcan.
The first set defeat came in the first round against Frances Tiafoe. But the German turned around the 0:1 deficit to win 3:1. He managed to win two tiebreaks.
He went one better in the round of 16 against Dimitrov. He took a whopping 39 percent of the points off the Bulgarian’s first serve. After the second service, Zverev secured three quarters of the points.
Such a strong return game will also be necessary against Etcheverry, who converted 86 percent of his first serves into points and served twelve aces in his round of 16 match against Nishioka.
Especially after the first set, he gave the Japanese a real thrashing (7-6, 6-0, 6-1). Before that, he took Borna Coric, Alex De Minaur and Jack Draper out of the tournament.
Our Zverev – Etcheverry expert tip: Zverev wins with -1.5 set-HC
French Open tips today 07.06: Holger Rune – Casper Ruud (11:00 a.m.)
Although Holger Rune is only 20 years old, he has already played Casper Ruud six times. There have been exciting duels between the two Scandinavians recently.
The first time they met was in Monaco and Sweden in 2021. At that time, the young Dane did not play at the same level as today and lost clearly in two sets.
In 2022, he forced Ruud into a tiebreak in another 2-0 defeat, before winning a set at the French Open in the same year and finally winning his first match against Ruud in Rome.
The bookmakers expect an even match after these duels. The odds on the Dane to win are around 2.00, those on Ruud (1.80) only just below that.
Ruud probably owes the slight favourite status to the freshness factor. While Rune won the tiebreak against Francisco Cerundolo in the fifth set, Ruud had it easier with a 3:0 victory over Nicolas Jarry.
Still, I have more confidence in the Dane to win, who brings a better first serve and a more versatile game on the red clay.
Our Rune – Ruud expert tip: Rune win
French Open tips today 07.06.: Beatriz Haddad Maia – Ons Jabeur (12:00 h)
Ons Jabeur is considered one of the favourites to win the French Open title. She lived up to her reputation in the early rounds. The Tunisian national heroine has only dropped one set so far in the tournament.
In the last 16, she gave Bernarda Pera (6-3, 6-1) no chance. On clay, she has now won 11 of her 13 matches, an impressive record for the world number seven.
Beatriz Haddad Maia has nothing to hide either with ten wins from 14 matches, but struggled considerably more in the early games.
The last three matches went over the full set length. In rounds three and four, twelve games were needed to determine a winner.
This burden could be a decisive disadvantage for Wednesday. The Brazilian is also being traded as an underdog by the betting companies.
Our Haddad Maia – Jabeur expert tip: 2 sets in the match
French Open tips today 07.06.: Iga Swiatek – Cori Gauff (11:00 a.m.)
Iga Swiatek is the high flyer in women’s tennis. At just 22 years old, she has already won three Grand Slam titles, including the French Open twice.
This year, the Pole is once again the clear favourite at the betting odds. In her first rounds, she gave three opponents a donut in the second set. Third-round opponent Xinyu Wang was even given a spectacle (6-0, 6-0).
In round four, Swiatek benefited from a retirement. Lesya Tsurenko had to retire at 1-5. She will now meet Cori Gauff on Wednesday.
The young US-American came back successfully after trailing twice. She beat Anna Schmiedlova (7-5, 6-2) in the round of 16.
She already played last year’s final against Swiatek, but lost in two sets, as in all six duels between the two players.
Our Swiatek – Gauff expert tip: Over 8.5 games in set 1
