Incidentally, my assessment of this match is the same as my assessment of Alcaraz vs. De Minaur. I can tell you in advance that I don’t expect the world number one to be eliminated by the Australian crowd favorite.
I am firmly convinced that Sinner and Alcaraz will meet in the final anyway…

Australian Open today, January 27: Zverev – Tien (3:30 a.m.)
Alexander Zverev is once again in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam tournament, and while his performances have been convincing, they have been marred by carelessness. He survived the round of 16 against Cerundolo without losing a set for the first time because the Argentine was completely out of sorts.
Tien, on the other hand, is a young, up-and-coming player who made his big breakthrough last season and has already proven several times at this Australian Open that he can reach his full potential!
Given the slight imbalance in the odds, I am therefore leaning towards a long match and an outsider tip on the American.
My expert tip: Tien is Zverev’s toughest opponent so far!
Australian Open today, January 27: Alcaraz – De Minaur (10:10 a.m.)
De Minaur has not yet made a breakthrough against the absolute top stars, but is performing increasingly well on hard courts and can sometimes decide close phases of a set in his favor!
Alcaraz remains the clear favorite, but it is quite possible that the Spaniard could lose a set in Melbourne, as De Minaur has home advantage. But whether it ends 3-0 or 3-1, the world number one will advance to the semifinals!
My expert tip: Alcaraz could lose a set!
Australian Open today, Jan. 27: Sabalenka – Jovic (1:30 a.m.)
Both opponents have advanced to the quarterfinals without losing a set, but I find it hard to believe that the American will really cause a sensation here.
Sabalenka played a strong first set against Mboko in the round of 16, but a weak second. She won both in the end thanks to her coolness, but if Jovic plays her cards right, it could go to a tiebreak at least once.
My expert tip: Sabalenka could let it slide a little
Australian Open today, January 27: Gauff – Svitolina (9:00 a.m.)
This match is so close that you would also be well advised to place a tiebreak bet with old and new bookmakers! Whenever these two players cross paths, an extremely close match is almost guaranteed.
Gauff has prevailed in the last two rounds despite losing a set, which is why, looking at the odds, I’m speculating on the same final score in sets with which she has already beaten the American Svitolina the last two times (2:1).
