Australian Open today – Matches on January 26.

Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing Djoker at the Australian Open tonight! His opponent Jakub Mensik has withdrawn from the competition. Nevertheless, it’s still worth staying tuned!

I’ve picked out five exciting matches again – including two women’s matches for the first time – which, with a little luck, could successfully convert into a first-class sports betting bonus before dawn.

Australian Open today – January 26, 2026

You can, of course, always fall back on a Winamax free bet, but no matter how you decide to bet on the Australian Open today, there are plenty of exciting betting opportunities on offer.

I took a closer look at Jannik Sinner’s opponent in the round of 16 and, of course, noticed how much the defending champion was plagued by cramps the day before yesterday. At the same time, I also have a promising pick for you in Shelton vs. Ruud.

Australian Open broadcast today: Where can you watch the matches on January 26?

If you want to watch the Australian Open live today, there are good options even without an expensive subscription. Eurosport is showing selected matches from the Grand Slam tournament on free-to-air TV, so at least some of the matches can be watched for free.

If you want more freedom, you can use streaming services: DAZN lets you watch Eurosport 1 and 2 on mobile devices or your laptop.

Tennis fans who really don’t want to miss a match are best served by paid services such as discovery+ or the Eurosport Player (also available via HBO Max), as all matches are broadcast live there.

Australian Open today, January 26: Darderi – Sinner

The extreme temperatures clearly affected Jannik Sinner, and against a largely unknown opponent like Spizzirri, the reigning champion might have had to throw in the towel under different circumstances.

Given the betting odds and the physical problems that manifested themselves in the form of cramps the day before yesterday, I think it would be a mistake to continue underestimating Darderi.

Suddenly, much more seems possible against his compatriot than initially thought – winning a set is absolutely realistic, perhaps even right at the start of the match.

My expert tip: Sinner is apparently made of flesh and blood

Australian Open today, Jan. 26: Shelton – Ruud

Shelton simply has the higher basic level on hard court and has proven several times in Melbourne that he can step up on the big stage.

Ruud is good enough on this surface to avoid going down, but he still lacks that final step to make it big here. In the end, the American’s explosiveness will prevail, but without really dominating!

My expert tip: Shelton’s power will make the difference

Australian Open today, January 26: Musetti – Fritz

At the ATP Finals in Turin a few months ago, the American won 2-0 in sets. He served 13 aces and won 84% of his first serves.

Since Fritz, unlike Musetti, has not yet played a 5-set match at the Australian Open, I am not at all surprised that the bookmakers with PayPal have named the world number nine as the favorite. I totally agree!

My expert tip: Fritz’s serve makes the difference

Australian Open today, January 26: Inglis – Swiatek

Maddison Inglis is currently the crowd favorite in Melbourne and has stormed her way into the round of 16. However, she has been somewhat fortunate, as Siegemund was unable to play her best tennis and Osaka withdrew shortly thereafter.

Nevertheless, it should be over now, as the Australian will reach her performance limit against Iga Swiatek. The Polish player already won a match against her on hard court in February 2021 with a score of 2:0 and has only gotten better since then.

My expert tip: The Polish player is simply better

Australian Open today, January 26: Rybakina – Mertens

Normally, I would agree with the bookmakers and actually believe the Kazakh player will win. However, with odds of around 1.16, she is far too heavily favored in my opinion!

Mertens may not have beaten any top players, but she has put in three very confident performances and already took a set off Rybakina in Cincinnati in August (1:2). That should be possible again this time!

My expert tip: A relatively even match
