Alcaraz may have just lost two matches in a row for the first time in almost a year, but in such an important tournament, the Spaniard will be playing with the ambition of a Grand Slam champion.
His Australian opponent will struggle to keep up with the Spaniard’s powerful baseline shots and is unlikely to be able to really counter them at any point.
The two have met four times since 2022, with the Spaniard emerging victorious each time, and Alcaraz is expected to triumph again this time around.
My expert tip: Alcaraz to win 2-0
ATP Finals betting today 09.11.: Alexander Zverev – Ben Shelton (8:30 p.m.)
Although Zverev is often said to have a mental problem, the German has performed solidly in recent months and has only been beaten by Jannik Sinner in the last 30 days.
Shelton is considered one of the great talents of the future and has not yet had a chance against Zverev. However, in the fourth meeting between the two in the 2025 calendar year, I believe the American is capable of winning at least one set against the world number 3.
