Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves
In the American professional basketball league NBA, the Golden State Warriors get the opportunity against the Minnesota Timberwolves to extend their lead in the standings with another win. Stephen Curry could help with that!
The point guard had a legendary game on Tuesday night and could well carry his strong form into the next game. The Wolves, on the other hand, are falling further and further behind and are simply too wasteful with their finishes at the moment!
If there is one NBA team that is currently amazing fans, it is undoubtedly the Golden State Warriors, who have stormed to the top of the Western Conference with a record of 9-1.
They probably won’t manage to stay there for too long, but after yesterday’s 127-113 win over the Hawks, I took a closer look at the Californians for my NBA tip today.
If their superstar and three-point king Stephen Curry shoots like he did against Atlanta again, the Timberwolves will have to dress warmly. Because the legendary point guard didn’t just convert 50 points!
Stephen Curry’s performance was nothing short of history-making. The Warriors point guard joins James Harden as the only players in the last 40 years to score at least 50 points in 35 minutes while dishing out more than 10 assists.
Such a monster performance can’t just vanish into thin air just one day later, can it?
The Timberwolves, for their part, are a very young team that paid dearly last season and will most likely do so again this season – after all, the dark blue team just lost its fifth game in a row.
Against a strong long-range shooter like Stephen Curry, by the way, the Wolves are not consistent enough in converting their own perimeter and could allow him free throw after free throw – but the Warriors are no longer a 1-man show!
The yellow-blue team is first and foremost a very strong collective, which is proven by the current NBA statistics, which show that the yellow-blue team has league bests in the categories net rating, points, defence, threes and assists.
In no other important team category are they worse than 3rd place, which once again illustrates how good their current run as a team is. Incidentally, the Timberwolves are one of Stephen Curry’s favourite opponents.
The three-point king, in fact, has averaged 25.6 points with 7.6 assists in 33 games against Minnesota, further illustrating that the Dark Blue seem to have a chronic problem successfully lining up the Warriors point guard’s running lanes.
For their part, the Timberwolves are a talented bunch, but in two important categories of all things – which could be particularly impactful against compact teams like the Warriors – the Wolves are among the NBA’s worst franchises.
The Wolves will most likely face extremely efficient Warriors on Thursday, who usually run up the score in a big way. They simply cannot afford so many missed balls.
Another Warriors win would surprise no one – least of all the bookmakers, who are offering odds of around 1.34 on the Yellow and Blue to win

Stephen Curry had a historic game against the Hawks, scoring 50 points in just 35 minutes. Furthermore, the talented point guard has shone especially in games against Minnesota in the past.
For their part, the Wolves just lost their sixth straight game and are simply too wasteful with a FG success rate averaging 41.1% against, of all teams, one of the most efficient in the league.
