NBA Playoffs 2024/25, Conference Finals, Game 4, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 2:00 a.m.
My experience with Betano has been extremely positive so far, which is why I recommend placing any Pacers Knicks bets with this bookie.
I believe that the resurgent “Knickerboxers” have what it takes to even the series in the heart of Indianapolis.
The atmosphere in Indiana was electric before Game 3 – the Knicks were down, without home advantage and with a lot of media pressure on them.
But what happened next must have hit many spectators hard: New York came back from a 20-point deficit, dominated the final quarter 32-21, and clinched the first away win of the series.
And they did it in a way that was more than just a one-off comeback. Rather, it was a demonstration of maturity, depth, and the realization that this team is not going to go down without a fight.
Jalen Brunson was out for a long time with foul trouble, had no rhythm, and only played around 30 minutes – and yet it was enough for the win. That alone speaks volumes. Because when the leader falters, you need a team that can step up.
That’s exactly what happened. Karl-Anthony Towns became a one-man army in crunch time: 20 points in the fourth quarter alone, six of nine from the field, four of six from the line – a dominant performance that left the Pacers with no answers.
Turner and Bradley had no answer for him. In a game where he had just four points after three quarters, he exploded when it mattered most.
And that’s exactly what makes New York dangerous: they now have several players who can decide a game – not just Brunson.
But the supporting cast also took a step forward: OG Anunoby defended strongly again, Shamet and Wright finally got some real minutes – and made the most of them.
Thibodeau, otherwise notorious for his rigid rotation, showed flexibility this time, using nine players and bringing in two fresh defenders in Shamet and Wright, who helped out cleverly in the decisive phases.
So the Knicks coach not only reacted, but also made some bold changes – and was rewarded for it.
On the other hand, Indiana showed weaknesses that had rarely been seen before. The three-pointer in particular was a total failure: only five hits from 25 attempts – the worst shooting performance from outside in these playoffs.
A team that averages over 14 three-pointers per game collapses offensively when it poses no threat from outside. That was exactly the case here.
What made it particularly bitter was that many of the shots weren’t even well defended – it was simply a disastrous day.
The fact that Nesmith injured his ankle at precisely this stage and missed important minutes further weakened the defensive stability. During his absence, New York turned the game around – that was no coincidence.
What’s more, the Pacers are 10-0 in these playoffs when they score at least 114 points – and 0-4 when they score less than that. They have now fallen below that mark twice against the Knicks. The Knicks’ defense is no fluke.
They switch better, rotate consistently, and play physically. Above all, their rebounding has improved – and in Game 3, they finally regained control.
When Indiana can’t get going, their half-court set play often looks static, especially when Siakam gets stuck with his mid-range shots or Haliburton goes cold.
Since I firmly believe in a Knicks victory and trust the above figures and trends, I am looking for a German betting provider with a clear intention – namely, to place a combination bet.
What does that look like? NYK win & under 226.5 points, as I think Indiana will once again defend superbly.
My conclusion: Knicks win. New York proved in Game 3 that they can hold their own on the road. In this form and with this depth, I believe they can also win Game 4. If you want to play it safe, Knicks +2.5 as a handicap option is also strong.
Personally, I trust the Knickerboxers’ defense, and if they manage to keep Indiana below 114 points, the visitors will be very close to another win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
My Pacers Knicks tip: NYK win & under 226.5 points!
