NBA Playoffs 2022 on Thursday, 04/28/2022
The Milwaukee Bucks literally rolled over the Chicago Bulls in their two away games at visiting Illinois State!
Meanwhile, my Bucks Bulls betting tips also firmly assume that the home side will record another clear victory. Only about the amount of the next green-white success I’m not quite sure.
The point of greatest resistance was Game 2, when the Bulls won 114-110! Since then, the defending champions have celebrated two clear victories that could not have been clearer, 111:81 and 119:95 respectively.
Milwaukee thus won its two away games at the United Center with a total difference of 54 points and did not give their opponents the slightest chance. A completely unleashed Giannis Antetokounmpo secured an incredible 17 rebounds during his last performance alone!
The Bucks clearly outplayed the Red and Whites in the all-important battle at the boards with more points from the paint and more rebounds. Chicago also remains a leaderless squad that you just don’t really trust to bounce back in this series!
The loss of Lonzo Ball continues to be a huge detriment to the Bulls’ game rhythm. And in what could be Chicago’s last game of the season, it threatens to get worse.
Alex Caruso could be out tonight due to a concussion! But the ex-Lakers player is a very important part of a defence that already has enormous problems successfully chaining Antetokounmpo and Holiday.
The fact that the defending champions have regained control of this series might primarily have to do with their improved performance from distance. After all, Milwaukee ranked 5th in the Regular Season in success rate from 3-point attempts for a reason.
However, the Bucks clearly “underperformed” in the first two games with around 32.4% converted three-point attempts in each. In Game 3 and 4, however, this value shot up again to 36.6% and most recently even 51.5%.
Milwaukee converted 17 threes in the last game alone! The Bulls, on the other hand, have enormous problems from distance. After all, Chicago has not converted double-digit three-pointers in any of the four games of this series.
They clearly lack a Lonzo Ball here. On the other hand, as far as the aforementioned performance at the board is concerned, Chicago also suffers from size disadvantages. Because when the Bucks work the basket with Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez, the paint becomes a no-fly zone.
Another reason I think the Bucks will win again tonight has to do with how well they compensated for Khris Middleton’s absence.
Grayson Allen came in for him in Game 3 and promptly put 22 points on the board to improve his personal playoff record – but that wasn’t all!
In the following game he even scored 27 points, which combined with three valuable steals gave Milwaukee enormous stability in the build-up to the game. The Bulls just can’t keep up against all the talent on the other side.
Bottom line, the Bucks have already won seven of their eight head-to-head duels against Chicago in 2022 alone – and usually by a notable point margin.
The winning percentage of the defending champions is around 1.15 and thus almost microscopic. By comparison, a surprise win by the Bulls would result in an approximate sevenfold increase in the original bet!
Conclusion: the Bucks took a beating in Game 2, but during their last two away games at the United Center, they have consistently and mercilessly sent their opponents to the boards.
The only question left in my mind is how high the green-white success will be this time.
After careful consideration, I come to the conclusion that, given the clear momentum on the side of the defending champions, the home advantage and the impending absence of Alex Caruso from the Bulls, there should again be more than nine points between the two opponents in the end.
