My 76ers Knicks tip explains why you can expect at least 225 points in the overall game
With a record of 23-10, the host 76ers are ranked third in the East.
The team from Pennsylvania has won seven of its last ten games and has the best home record in the NBA at 13-4.
The 76ers boast both an elite offense (fourth with 120.4 points) and one of the two best defenses in the league (second with an average of 110 points allowed).
The resulting Net Rating of +10.4 is the best in the Association.
No other team steals the ball from their opponents more often than Philadelphia (9.1 steals per game) and only six teams manage more blocks (6.0).
Combo guard Tyrese Maxey has taken the next step for Philadelphia, is one of the most improved players of the season and has made the departure of James Harden a thing of the past in no time at all
With All-Star numbers of 25.9 points and 6.4 assists on solid shooting percentages of 45.8% from the field and 38.8% from downtown, Maxey is proving to be the long-awaited co-star for center superstar Joel Embiid.
Embiid has even improved statistically compared to his MVP season last year (currently 34.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.2 steals).
The visiting New York Knicks currently have a 19-15 record and have won their last two games (including against West leaders Minnesota).
While the offense of the New York Knicks is the ninth best in the league with a rating of 117.3, the defense is only average with a rating of 115.1 (16th place).
The resulting net rating of +2.2 is still the tenth best in the league.
Only four teams allow fewer opposing offensive rebounds (10.1) and only six teams fewer shot attempts (87.4) than the New Yorkers led by defensive guru Tom Thibodeau.
With the trade for Toronto wing defenceman OG Anunoby (coming with two other players in return for offensive-minded wings Immanuel Quickley and R.J. Barrett), the Knicks have prioritized defense over offense.
In the first two games since the trade, they have only allowed an opponent shooting percentage of 42.7%.
Power forward Julius Randle could serve as a suitable antidote to Embiid, as New York’s No. 30 has posted impressive stats of 30.8 points, 10.2 rebounds and 52.4% field goal percentage since Christmas
Bets on Randle to score more than 27.5 points (odds around 1.80) are therefore very promising.

Both teams have top-10 offenses and have a combined average of 236 points per game for a reason.
