The Italian Serie A season also comes to an end this weekend. The championship has already been decided, as Inter Milan put in an extremely dominant performance this year and had an unassailable lead a few matchdays before the end. On the final matchday, Inter have to travel to Verona to face Hellas. Find out who will win this game and which bets are interesting for you in our Verona – Inter betting tip.
For Verona, too, this last matchday is all about getting another win for their fans, as the team is firmly in mid-table. Both the international qualification places and the relegation zone are a safe distance away. They defeated US Salernitana last weekend and will be looking to end the season with a home win against big Inter.
Milan, meanwhile, will not be looking to add another defeat to their strong season’s record when they lift the league trophy. Last weekend, they shared the points with Lazio Roma and suffered their sixth draw of the season.

Verona Form & Balance Check
Verona can take a relaxed approach to their final game of the season. Before last weekend, they were still in the group of teams that still had to worry about avoiding relegation, but coach Marco Baroni’s team saved themselves with just one matchday to go thanks to their 2:1 win against Salernitana.
Stable performances in the final stretch of the season saw Hellas pick up a solid ten points from their last six games, scoring against recently crowned Europa League winners Atalanta Bergamo and AC Florence, among others. Overall, the team is in 13th place in the table with 37 points, but could lose a few more places if they lose
Flipped the switch in the second half of the season
Hellas were still in the relegation battle for a long time, but managed to make up for the weak first half of the season with a more than solid second half. After the first half of the season, the team was in a relegation spot with just 14 points and only three wins in 19 games.
The second half of the season was then much more positive and Verona are in the top 10 of the league in the second half of the season, ahead of Juventus Turin. They picked up nine points more than in the first half of the season and have more than earned their place in the league thanks to their hard work
Verona facts & analysis
- 13th place in the table
- Last game won
- Two wins from the last three home games
Inter Form & Balance Check
Milan played an outstanding season in the league. The Champions League finalists from the previous year had a record of 29 wins and only two defeats throughout the season and clinched the championship with five match days to go. The fact that the team was also crowned champions early on in the derby against AC is doubly good for the fans’ souls.
Coach Simone Inzaghi’s side have won three of their last five games, but dropped points against Sassuolo and most recently Lazio. The most recent draw meant that the team missed out on equaling their own points record from the 2006/2007 season of 97 points this season
Martínez top scorer for the first time
Lautaro Martínez has been one of Serie A’s top strikers for years. The Argentinian moved to Europe in the 2017/2018 season and has played for Milan ever since. He has scored 21 goals in each of the last two seasons, playing a significant role in his team’s success in recent years.
However, he has not yet managed to claim the top scorer’s crown. This year, however, he has done so, as with 24 goals, the 26-year-old scored eight goals more than the league’s second-highest scorer, Dušan Vlahović, with one matchday to go. Martínez also scored on the penultimate matchday and wants to make the Inter fans cheer again at the end of the season
Inter facts & analysis
- First place in the table
- Uncatchable champions for four matchdays already
- Only two defeats in the entire season
After the recent win, there is little reason for Verona coach Baroni to rotate. In the 4-2-3-1 system, only defender Giangiacomo Magnani could return to the starting eleven. In central midfield, Ondrej Duda and Suat Serdar, both familiar from the Bundesliga, will pull the strings. Dutchman Tijjani Noslin will provide a breath of fresh air up front.
Inter play in a 3-5-2 system. They are certainly champions and Inzaghi could rotate a lot. Nevertheless, we expect the strong attacking duo of Martínez and Marcus Thuram in the starting eleven. In midfield, Davide Frattesi could be allowed to start again. Joker option number one is the Austrian Marko Arnautovic
