After the German national team picked up with Julian Nagelsmann last week where they left off under Hansi Flick, it’s finally time to get back to the Bundesliga. Unlike the DFB team, Union Berlin will be looking to finally turn things around and get back to winning ways on matchday 12. The Ironmen will start the game for the first time with interim coach Marco Grote. The long-standing collaboration with successful coach Urs Fischer ended during the international break after nine consecutive league defeats. Union Form & Balance Check
Union’s misery continues and there seems to be no end in sight. Before the international break, the team’s exit from the Champions League was also sealed. After the defeat in the 2nd round of the DFB Cup against VfB Stuttgart, it was the second competition this season from which FCU had to bow out.

Urs Fischer took over as coach of Union Berlin in the summer of 2018, when the club was still playing in Bundesliga 2. Prior to that, the 57-year-old worked exclusively in his home country and even won the championship twice and the cup once with FC Basel. His time with Die Eisernen marked an impressive rise that had rarely been experienced before.
During the international break, however, Urs Fischer and Union parted company by mutual agreement. His successor for the time being is Marco Grote, who previously coached the Eisern’s A-youth team. So far this season, the 51-year-old has led them to a very good third place in the A-Jugend Bundesliga Nord/Nordost. Grote and his team have gone the last eight games without defeat

Augsburg Form & Balance Check
The previous second half of the season was already extremely unlucky for the Fuggerstädter. In the last eleven games of the previous season, FCA only managed a single win. The start of the current season has been no better. After just five points from the first seven games, coach Enrico Maaßen’s time at the Lech was over.
His successor Jess Thorup then delivered very successfully in his first four games. Two wins against Heidenheim and Wolfsburg at the start were followed by two draws against Cologne and Hoffenheim before the international break. As a result, FCA jumped back up to tenth place in the table
Demirovic in the center
Like his predecessor, current coach Thorup relies heavily on the FCA captain. In attack, FC Augsburg is relying heavily on Ermedin Demirovic this season. The Bosnian striker has scored six goals for the Fuggerstädter so far and is the central element in the attack.
The 25-year-old also scored the decisive goal against TSG Hoffenheim to make it 1:1 in the 53rd minute. In the clash with the Kraichgauers, Demirovic also played in the center behind striker Tietz for the first time, making an even more decisive contribution to Augsburg’s attacking play

Coach Urs Fischer played almost exclusively with a back three at Union. Interim coach Marco Grote, however, mostly played with a 4-3-3 in the youth team, with two of the three central midfielders playing more defensively. We can well imagine that FCU will also play this way on Saturday. Rani Khedira is still suspended for Union.
We expect Augsburg to play a 4-2-3-1 again. However, Japhet Tanganga, Reece Oxford, Raphael Framberger and Arne Maier will still be missing through injury. Phillip Tietz will once again cause a sensation in attack
