Sevilla Form & Balance Check
The midfield team had to play away against Europa League aspirants Athletic Bilbao on the last matchday. Sevilla were outplayed from the start and had nothing to counter Bilbao’s attacking soccer. Barcelona faced Rayo Vallecano in their final home game of the season. Thanks to an early goal in the 3rd minute, the Catalans were able to open up their game from the start. After the goal, however, the game flattened out a little and was mainly characterized by many fouls. There were four yellow cards alone in the first half of a physical game. Quique Sanchez Florez’s team will probably line up in a 3-4-2-1 again. Against an offensively stronger opponent, they will move into a back five against the ball in order to have the best possible defensive stability. However, they will be without captain Navas (thigh injury) for the upcoming match, with Sanchez moving to the wing. Of course, it is possible that the coach will rotate the squad in this game, as there is nothing at stake.
