Liverpool Form & Balance Check
Liverpool set their sights on the next trophy, just 48 hours after winning their first title of the season. On Sunday, the Reds won against Chelsea (1-0) after extra time in the League Cup final, after a great, feisty game.
They will need the mental strength from the final again if they are to progress to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Especially with so many players in the hospital: Trent, Alisson, Bajcetic, Jota, Jones, Matip and Thiago, plus uncertainties around Nunez, Salah and Szoboszlai.
1st title in the bag
Klopp is a coach for exactly this kind of situation. He knows how to give his team strength from game to game. On Sunday, he used three of the club’s young players, Clark, Danns and Mcconnell, who quickly found their place and played their part in the win.
With such a strong and decisive defense with Van Dijk and Konaté, Liverpool can go far, especially with Kelleher proving his worth. Another big challenge awaits the Reds, but they have the tools to deal with it

Southhampton Form & Balance Check
Southampton, under pressure in the league for the past two weeks, will be looking to boost their season with the FA Cupl and gain new momentum. To do so, they will need to put in an outstanding performance against giants Liverpool, who they have not beaten since 2021
No win against the Reds since 2021
Southampton are not coming to Liverpool in their best form, however. The Saints, who are 4th in the Championship, have been under pressure in the league for two weeks and have lost two of their last three games against Bristol (12th) and Hull (6th).
This poor run contrasts with their run of 25 games without defeat between late September and early February.
