RB Leipzig – TSG Hoffenheim
In a few weeks we will know who will be German champion and who will make it to the Champions League. For both questions, there could already be small preliminary decisions this coming weekend. Leipzig form & balance check
Leipzig’s playing time is like a roller coaster ride. So many ups and downs as in this season, there was very rarely with the Saxons. If the Leipzigers got two wins in a row in the meantime, RB had to admit defeat again last weekend. The Saxons were no match for the Werkself from Leverkusen and lost 0:2 on the Rhine. Especially on the offensive, coach Marco Rose’s team came up with far too little.

After last weekend’s defeat against Leverkusen, the Saxons are almost doomed to win at home. It’s just as well that TSG Hoffenheim is waiting from RB’s point of view. Leipzig has only lost to the men from Kraichgau once in the past eleven meetings. In the last season, there was a 0:2 in Hoffenheim.
After the season, RB will be put through its paces by those in charge and the new arrivals will also have to be discussed here. Leipzig had hoped for more from David Raum in particular. Really not much speaks for a victory of Hoffenheim in the fair city on Saturday. There has only been one win against RB in the last eleven games. Coach Matarzzo has also never won against the Saxons in his career. This is the third time TSG has faced the Saxons this season.
In the first leg and in the DFB Cup, RB won 3:1. If we still look at the current situation, then TSG has to look down again. The 29 points currently mean 14th place and the lead over 16th place is only four points.

For the suspended Haidara and Szoboszlai, Nkunku and Laimer will start. Especially the return of Nkunku is expected with great anticipation. Timo Werner will once again play in the forward line.
Hoffenheim is not expected to change its formation very much. TSG will start in a 3-5-2. Coach Matarazzo will rely on tried and tested players, especially in the forward line. Bebou and Baumgartner are expected to provide the goals for TSG.
