Lazio Roma vs. Inter Milan
Just like the Bundesliga, Serie A is playing again next weekend. Next Saturday we can look forward to a top match in Italian football. Inter Milan travel to the capital to take on Lazio Roma. The home team Lazio is inferior in quality to Inter Milan, but recently won the city derby against AS Rome and is brimming with confidence. The Romans are currently sixth in the table.
The Nerazzurri are in third place behind SSC Napoli and city rivals AC Milan. Just like the two teams in first and second place, the fashionable city has not yet been beaten. Inter have five wins and two draws so far. We can expect an interesting match, in which we think Inter Milan are the favourites. Find out more about this match in our Lazio vs Inter betting tip

Lazio Form & Balance Check
Lazio Roma did not show an adequate performance against FC Bologna recently. The Romans were defeated with a more than disappointing 3-0 defeat. Individually, they clearly have the edge over Bologna, but failed to put the horsepower on the road that Immobile and Co. showed against Roma in the city derby. To make matters worse, defensive veteran Acerbi picked up an outright red card. The Laziali will certainly miss him against Inter Milan. All in all, the form curve is pointing downwards again in view of the 3-0 defeat at Bologna.
Lazio’s home strength
Lazio Roma have yet to be beaten in front of their home crowd. The Laziali even won 3:2 at home in the derby against AS Roma. Therefore, we assume that Inter Milan will also struggle to win against the Romans. The fact that defensive leader Acerbi will not be in the game does not make it any easier for the Laziali to get back on track after the negative experience against FC Bologna. Nevertheless, they are strong at home and will make life difficult for Inter Milan.
Lazio facts & analysis
– Lazio are currently sixth in the table.
– They lost 3-0 to Bologna in their last match
– The Romans have yet to lose a home game so far
Inter Form & Balance Check
Inter Milan have yet to taste defeat in the league this season. The Nerazzurri have not lost for five games in the competition and are currently on the rise. In their penultimate game, they only drew 0-0 with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. In the league, however, the fashionable city was able to make up for this minor slip-up by beating the ambitious team from Sassuolo with 2:1.
Inter the new Atalanta?
Atalanta Bergamo have been the team that has scored the most goals in the Italian top flight year after year in the recent past. Now, however, it seems that Inter, coached by Simone Inzaghi since this season, have overtaken the Bergamaschi. The Nerazzurri have scored an unbelievable 22 goals in just seven games and thus even four goals more than leaders SSC Napoli. Therefore, we suspect that there will be a few more goals in the upcoming match at Lazio Roma.
Inter facts & analysis
– Inter are currently third in the table.
– They have yet to lose a game in the league
– They last won 2-1 against Sassuolo
Predicted line-up – last updated 14 Oct 2021
We expect the Laziali to play in their usual 4-3-3 system, which coach Maurizio Sarri almost never deviates from. Patric could move into the starting line-up in place of the red-suspended Acerbi. Since Patric was already substituted in the last match against Bologna, it is very realistic that he will be allowed to start against Inter Milan.
Since Inter Milan won 2-1 against Sassuolo in their last match, it can be assumed that they will hardly rotate through. Edin Dzeko could continue to come off the bench and make a splash. It is also expected that Simone Inzaghi will stay true to his 3-5-2 system.
