FC Heidenheim – Bayern Munich
The Bundesliga enters the next matchday and we can also look forward to exciting and open matches this weekend. In the conference on Saturday afternoon, the record champions from Munich travel to Heidenheim to face a newly promoted team that is having a very solid season and that few would have expected to be in their current position in the table. Find out what kind of game we can expect and who will come out on top in our Heidenheim – Bayern betting tip.
For Heidenheim, the last matchday is one they will probably remember for a long time. In a thrilling ups and downs away against the high-flyers from Stuttgart, they first went 2-0 behind, managed to score the equalizer shortly afterwards and even took the lead in the 84th and 85th minute with an ice-cold double strike. Stuttgart striker Undav then provided the cold shower in the 90th + 8th minute, scoring to earn his team a 3:3 draw, which was the deserved result for the game.
Bayern faced Borussia Dortmund in the German classic at home in the Allianz Arena on the previous matchday. After an opening phase with few chances, Dortmund ventured forward and Adeyemi put BVB ahead with their first dangerous move. As a result, Bayern looked paralyzed, almost listless, and simply watched Dortmund’s move to 0:2, which was also the final score. The gap to the top of the table is now 13 points and now even the last one will have ticked off the topic of the championship

Heidenheim Form & Balance Check
Heidenheim are playing a very solid season as a newly promoted team. They first had to get used to Bundesliga soccer, but after the first few matchdays they have settled in mid-table and are unlikely to be involved in the relegation battle.
They are currently in eleventh place, ten points clear of the relegation places and just six points off seventh place, which would be enough for European football. They can reach for the stars at Heidenheim after this very respectable season’s performance, and the upcoming matchday is a good opportunity to prove themselves
Diligent Heidenheim
The Heidenheimers have reached this good position in the table this season thanks to their diligence and willingness to keep working hard. Frank Schmidt’s team runs an average of three kilometers more than their opponents, which means significantly more movement in a soccer match.
Special mention should be made of striker Kleindienst, who is always making himself available and has made the most sprints in the league as a striker. Not only that, but he has also made the most so-called “intensive runs”, which means an intensive continuous run. Heidenheim’s top scorer is almost always on the move, making him a helpful passing option for his teammates
Heidenheim facts & analysis
- eleventh place in the table
- Last game draw
- Two games against Bayern, both lost
Bayern Form & Balance Check
Bayern will have mentally ticked off this season’s league campaign. With their fifth defeat of the season against Dortmund last matchday, the record champions are now 13 points behind league leaders Leverkusen and the championship is as good as off the table. They are still in second place, but are only three points off third place and must be careful not to drop any lower. They have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five games
The offense is alive and well away from home
Both at home and away, Bayern boast the best offense in the league. With players like Sane, Kane and Musiala, the record champions exude a constant forward threat, which they have been able to convert into goals in most games this season. Bayern are both the top scorers in the league and the top provider of assists. Against Heidenheim, they will once again try to bring their joy of playing and their danger onto the pitch
Bayern facts & analysis
- Strongest offense in the league
- Second in the table
- Last game lost
Heidenheim will opt for a compact formation against the record champions and will therefore start in a 4-2-3-1. Frank Schmidt will be without back-up striker Dovedan (suspended), but can otherwise draw from the full squad. He is unlikely to make any changes compared to the game against Stuttgart.
Thomas Tuchel will also send his team out in their usual 4-2-3-1 formation. Pavlovic (tonsillitis) and Neuer (torn muscle fiber) are still questionable and will once again be replaced by Laimer and Ulreich. It is possible that Tuchel will make some changes after the defeat. Mazraoui is once again a candidate for the full-back position after recovering from injury, but either Davies could move to the bench or Kimmich could move into midfield. Coman, Tel and Gnabry are options for Sane, who has looked listless of late. The coach could also put his trust in Min-jae or Upamecano in central defense again
Heidenheim – Bayern head-to-head & stats
These two teams have only met twice before. Once in the DFB Cup, when Bayern narrowly won 5:4 in a dramatic and very entertaining game, and in the first half of this season. The record champions won 4-2 there too, so we can look forward to an open encounter with plenty of goals according to recent matches
