Eintracht Frankfurt – RB Leipzig
Our Frankfurt – Leipzig betting tip is: Double chance: Frankfurt/X – 1.62 odds
- Frankfurt must score at all costs, while Leipzig have nothing left to play for
- Frankfurt have lost just one of their last eight home games
- The SGE has the fourth-best home defense in the league
The 34th and final matchday of the Bundesliga is upon us. After the German champions were crowned a few matchdays ago, the teams have spent the last few weeks fighting for Europe and to avoid relegation. This Saturday, as is usual on the final matchday, all games will take place at the same time, meaning that the conference is packed with exciting matches. Eintracht Frankfurt will host RB Leipzig, among others.
Find out who will win this game and who you should bet on in our Frankfurt – Leipzig betting tip.
For Frankfurt, it’s still all about defending their Europa League place. The Hessians have failed to pull clear enough in recent weeks and have to tremble until the last matchday. A win or draw will secure them sixth place, while a defeat may depend on the size of the loss.
Leipzig, on the other hand, can take a relaxed approach to the clash. Nothing is at stake for them, as they are already guaranteed a place in the Champions League. Nevertheless, the Red Bulls want to get one more win for the fans at the end of the season and will give nothing away to Frankfurt

Frankfurt Form & Balance Check
Due to a difficult program and less than optimal performances in recent weeks, Eintracht were unable to collect enough points to qualify for the Europa League early. They have lost three of their last five games and coach Dino Toppmöller’s side have only picked up one win this season.
Although the team is still in sixth place with 46 points, it is only three points ahead of Hoffenheim. In the event of a defeat for Frankfurt and a win for TSG, it will depend on the goal difference, with the Hessians currently three goals ahead of the Kraichgauers. So the motto is to score points to avoid having to count goals at the end
From Conference League to Premier League
For Frankfurt, this final matchday is once again a matter of the last minute, as more than “just” the Europa League may be on the cards. On the last matchday, the team celebrated with the fans that they had booked their European ticket early, as the 1:1 draw against Gladbach secured the Eagles at least a place in the Conference League.
Should Eintracht secure sixth place, the whole of Frankfurt will be keeping their fingers crossed for Dortmund in the Champions League final, because then SGE would also be in the top flight next season. That should be incentive enough to go all out against Leipzig and, with the Frankfurt passion of recent years, secure 6th place in front of the home fans
Frankfurt facts & analysis
- Sixth place in the table
- Last game draw
- Not won in three games
Leipzig Form & Balance Check
Leipzig will draw a positive conclusion from this season, even if they had nothing to report early on in terms of the championship. In the end, Champions League qualification was clinched early on and the team established itself in an extremely strong field of the league’s top teams.
The Red Bulls are in fourth place with 64 points and are set to retain this position. Despite two draws recently, the team has been very stable in recent weeks and has not lost in eleven competitive matches. They have won seven and drawn three of their last ten league matches
Šeško’s streak continues
Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško is currently in absolute top form. The 20-year-old Slovenian is on a roll and has now scored a goal in six consecutive games against Bremen last weekend. His performances have exploded in the second half of the season, and his three goals in the first three games of the second half of the season were a sign of things to come.
He scored ten of his 13 goals in the second half of the season, moving him up to eighth place in the goalscoring charts, passing names such as Florian Wirtz and Niclas Füllkrug. He wants to continue this streak against Frankfurt and give his team another win to end the season
Leipzig facts & analysis
- Fourth place in the table
- Last game draw
- Not lost in eleven games
The Frankfurt team will play in a 3-4-2-1 system. Compared to last weekend, we expect only a few changes to the starting eleven. Aurelio Buta could replace Ansgar Knauff in the first eleven on the wing. Junior Dina Ebimbe’s participation is still questionable. Niels Nkounkou is available for him. Hugo Larsson and Knauff are options from the bench.
Even though there is effectively nothing at stake for Leipzig, we expect them to be at full strength. In defense, David Raum returns to the back four for Lukas Klostermann. Kevin Kampl can also hope for a place in the starting line-up. In attack, coach Marco Rose is spoiled for choice between Loïs Openda, Šeško, Christoph Baumgartner and Yussuf Poulsen.
Frankfurt – Leipzig head-to-head & stats
Frankfurt and Leipzig know each other quite well by now. The upcoming clash will be the 18th meeting in the history of the two clubs, with 15 Bundesliga encounters and two DFB Cup matches to date. Leipzig lead the direct comparison with seven wins to five.
If we look at the last five matches, we see a balanced record with two wins for each team and one draw. Leipzig will be looking for revenge for their first-leg defeat this season, as Frankfurt won 1-0 on matchday 18. Frankfurt beat Leipzig for the very first time in 2017. Back then, the red bulls won clearly with 3:0.
