Borussia Dortmund – Borussia Mönchengladbach
The top match in the Bundesliga is on the 32nd matchday in terms of the championship fight. The Wolves went down 0:6 at the Westfalenstadion last Sunday. With this victory, BVB thus continued to keep the distance of one point to the leader from Munich. But the team from the Lower Rhine also celebrated a success in the previous week.

After a very mixed 2022, it didn’t look for a long time as if Dortmund would be able to get into the championship fight in any form. A few weeks ago, Dortmund captain Marco Reus extended his expiring contract at BVB. Since 2012, the 33-year-old, who already kicked in the F-youth for the black and yellow, again plays for the Dortmund Borussia. Since then, Reus has played 384 games for BVB, contributing 161 goals and 120 assists.
However, Reus celebrated his breakthrough in the Bundesliga with the upcoming opponent from Gladbach. However, the attacker proved to be extremely accurate against his former club in the past, scoring a total of eleven goals in 15 Bundesliga games. In the last home match against Gladbach in February 2022, Reus even recorded five scorer points, making a significant contribution to his team’s emphatic 6-0 victory.

Gladbach form & balance check
Borussia Mönchengladbach no longer have any goals to fight for this season. The Foals are currently in tenth place and will finish the season in mid-table. In fact, since the 3-2 win against Bayern in mid-February, the Foals have only recorded two more three-pointers.

Hofmann in focus
Once again Jonas Hofmann scored the 1:0 against Bochum. The 30-year-old has scored a total of six times this season to give his Borussia a 1-0 lead, five of which have come in the first quarter of an hour. With ten goals and nine assists, the winger is also Gladbach’s top scorer this season.
The Heidelberg native also has a Dortmund past. In winter 2016, Jonas Hofmann became the first player to dare a direct move from Dortmund to Mönchengladbach. In the current Bundesliga season, he also played a key role in the Foals’ 4-2 win over his former club and was directly involved in three goals.

Edin Terzic will again send his team into this week’s match with a 4-3-3. Except for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Thomas Meunier, all players will be available for Borussia on Saturday. Especially the offensive trio of Malen, Haller and Adeyemi has been very convincing lately.
Gladbach will not rotate much in the starting lineup compared to the victory in the previous week. Ko Itakura is expected to return to central defense after his suspension. In addition, Lars Stindl recommended himself for the starting eleven with his goal. Alassane Pléa, however, is missing for the Foals with a yellow suspension.
