As already mentioned at the beginning, Chelsea FC would still be ten points behind Manchester City if they had been successful in their two catch-up games. Having lost both direct duels against the Skyblues (0:1 & 0:1), it seems more likely that Thomas Tuchel’s side will win the Champions League again this year than snatch the Premier League title away from the Citizens. To make up ten points in the eleven remaining games on the Skyblues, who have won 15 of their last 17 league games, is highly unrealistic. And then there is Liverpool FC, who have also played one more game than Chelsea FC, but also have ten more points to their name.

Against Burnley FC, we expect Reece James to start on the right side for Chelsea FC for the first time since overcoming injury. We can also imagine Timo Werner, who showed a good game after his substitution against Liverpool FC, in the starting eleven. Ben Chilwell and Andreas Christensen are still missing due to injury.
