Werder Bremen vs. Eintracht Frankfurt
At the end of the 4th matchday in the Bundesliga we get to see a really interesting match at the Weserstadion in Bremen. SV Werder Bremen receives Eintracht from Frankfurt. While the start of the promoted team with the sensational victory in Dortmund can finally be classified as successful, Eintracht is already running behind its own expectations. Two points from three games is clearly too few for the Champions League debutants. They suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Bayern at the start of the season and could not manage more than a draw in the games against Hertha and Cologne. As a result, they are only 15th in the table.
Until the 89th minute on the last matchday at Signal-Iduna-Park, Bremen’s start would also have been mixed, but with three goals in the last six minutes they claimed their first win of the season. As a result, there are five points in their account and Bremen are in ninth place in the table. Find out if we think Eintracht can stop Werder’s run in this Bremen – Frankfurt betting tip.

Bremen Form & Balance Check
Few games have been discussed and debated as much as the last encounter between Werder and BVB. The Bremen side overturned a 0:2 deficit as late as no other team in the history of the Bundesliga – and that as promoted team at last season’s runners-up. The Green-Whites thus remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga in their third match under Ole Werner and put a real exclamation mark on their record. So far, all the players have proven their quality and unconditionally follow the coach’s instructions. Only Union Berlin have won more balls in the front third than Werder so far, an enormously strong value.
Where does the journey go now?
Despite the great victory, no one in Bremen will fall into exaggerated euphoria. Coach Ole Werner already indicated after the game that the focus is directly on the upcoming match against Frankfurt. Moreover, no team has remained in the league with five points and Werder has conceded two goals in every game so far. Accordingly, there is still some room for improvement. Nevertheless, the performances so far give encouragement that SVW can avoid a dramatic season and secure their place in the league early on.
Bremen facts & analysis
– Second most goals scored of all Bundesliga teams.
– At least 4 goals have always been scored in the first 3 encounters
– 3 of the 7 season goals scored by Bremen in injury time
Frankfurt form & balance check
The euphoria was great in Frankfurt after winning the Europa League title. Even though Eintracht only finished eleventh in the league, it was the SGE’s most successful season ever. With the team now also playing in the Champions League, those responsible were very active on the transfer market. The team was strengthened, especially offensively, and the most prominent newcomer is probably Mario Götze. So far, however, the former international has only been convincing to a limited extent and has not been directly involved in any Frankfurt goals. In general, the offensive is faltering and only Kolo-Muani, who was signed from FC Nantes, is playing really convincingly at the moment. If Frankfurt want to live up to their own expectations this season, they will have to improve their performance.
The last consistency is missing
Of course, the opening game against FC Bayern went extremely wrong, but not many people thought that the SGE would be so inferior to the record champions. In the second match against Hertha, Frankfurt was again behind early on, but fought its way back into the match and took a point in the end, also due to controversial refereeing decisions. In the last match against Cologne, Eintracht again struggled, but played a good second half and deservedly took the lead. However, they also lacked the final consistency to keep the three points at home. Accordingly, Eintracht is under pressure ahead of the guest game in Bremen.
Frankfurt facts & analysis
– Scored in every game so far.
– Conceded the second most goals (8)
– As 1 of 8 teams, Frankfurt are still without a win in the Bundesliga
Predicted line-up – last update on 26 August 2022
After the exhilarating win against Dortmund, there is no reason for Werder to change their starting eleven. Friedl and Weiser did not train on Friday, but are expected to rejoin on Saturday and start accordingly. Ducksch is also likely to be given preference over Burke despite a small crisis in form.
Visiting coach Oliver Glasner will probably change the striker, as Borré has been disappointing in almost every game lately. Kolo-Muani could therefore start as the only striker. In defence, everything will probably remain the same.
