Bayern Munich – Borussia Mönchengladbach
Bayern are currently up against fearful opponents in the Bundesliga. After traveling to Augsburg in the previous week, where they have always struggled recently, Borussia Mönchengladbach come to the Allianz Arena on Saturday. You can find out whether the record champions can prevail against the foals in our Bayern – Gladbach betting tip.
In the previous week, however, FCB overcame their lack of form in Augsburg. The record champions won 3:2 at the Fuggerstädter, with Leverkusen’s slip-up reducing the gap to the top of the table to two points.
The reason for Leverkusen’s slip-up, meanwhile, is Bayern’s upcoming opponents. Gladbach by no means played the stars out of the sky, but put in a solid defensive performance. The Foals are in twelfth place in the table after the 0-0 draw

Bayern Form & Balance Check
Bayern suffered a completely surprising home defeat against Werder Bremen two weeks ago. However, FCB have at least partially redeemed themselves in the last two games. Bayern secured two narrow victories in the catch-up game against Union Berlin and the previous week against FC Augsburg.
As a result, coach Thomas Tuchel’s team stalked league leaders Bayer Leverkusen again and are now just two points behind the Werkself. The direct duel between the two current giants of the league will then take place after the match against Gladbach. FCB would now like to keep up the pressure with a win against the foals
Bayern on target
Bayern’s win against FC Augsburg the previous week was somewhat fortunate for the Munich side, as the Fuggerstädter scored more xG at the end of the match. However, the Munich side have not necessarily been lucky so far this season.
So far, the record champions have actually picked up exactly the points that were expected. And FCB’s goals scored and goals conceded are also within the expected range. In comparison, league leaders Leverkusen have scored 7.53 points more than the xPTS table would suggest. Bayern have also always finished the seasons in the expected points range in recent years

Gladbach Form & Balance Check
Gladbach underwent a significant upheaval in the summer and faced a challenging season. The first half of the season was exactly the same for the foals. Borussia made a weak start to the season and found themselves in a disappointing 15th place in the table after the first few matches. The team then showed some improvement under coach Gerardo Seoane.
VfL were particularly strong between the end of October and the beginning of December and also reached the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup during this period, where Saarbrücken from the 3rd division await next week. In the league, the Foals picked up four points from their first three games of the new year against Stuttgart, Augsburg and Leverkusen and currently occupy twelfth place
Neuhaus is back
A few years ago, Florian Neuhaus was regarded as one of the biggest talents in German soccer. The now 26-year-old celebrated his breakthrough during his loan spell at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2017/2018 season. Since then, the midfielder has even made ten appearances for the German national team. Neuhaus also extended his contract with Borussia in the summer.
But under coach Seoane, the Landsberg-born midfielder didn’t get much of a chance in the first half of the season. The breakthrough of Rocco Reitz in particular reduced Neuhaus’ playing time. In the game against Leverkusen, however, the 26-year-old was back in the starting eleven and impressed above all on a combative level. After this performance, Neuhaus can also hope for starting appearances in the upcoming games
