Roma pulled off the two transfer coups of the summer. They lured the two players with the highest market value in Europe to the Italian capital. We are talking about Paulo Dybala and Andrea Belotti. The Argentine needed no time at all to settle in with his new employer and scored four goals and two assists in eight games. But Belotti has also scored for the Romans. They also signed Nemanja Matic on loan from Manchester United and Georginio Wijnaldum on loan from Paris.

So far, the Roman transfer strategy is paying off for Jose Mourinho’s side. The Conference League winners are on 13 points in Serie A after six matchdays and, as mentioned at the start, are just one point off the top of the table. During the week, Roma won 3-0 against HJK Helsinki in the Europa League. In the third home match of the season, it was the third win to nil.

At present, defender Marash Kumbulla (thigh problems), Georginio Wijnaldum (shin fracture) and the offensive alternatives Nicola Zalewski and Stephan El Shaarawy (both with muscular problems) are missing due to injury.
