Wimbledon Today – Matches from July 8
All of today’s singles matches have made it onto my betting slip at bet365. Specifically, my Wimbledon tips for today include a total of two women’s quarterfinal matches and two more in the men’s draw.
I’ve been giving the Fritz vs. Zverev match some serious thought. The bet I ultimately recommend for this matchup takes into account, among other things, the fact that the Hamburg native had to spread his grueling round of 16 match out over several sets.
I’ve analyzed every single match in my Wimbledon picks for today objectively and with plenty of expertise, and I’ve presented you only with the tennis bets that convinced me on multiple levels.

For both your and my Wimbledon picks today, an Amazon Prime account is practically indispensable. The streaming service is broadcasting the entire London grass-court tournament exclusively on its own platform.
Wimbledon Picks Today, July 8: Fritz – Zverev (3:10 p.m.)
The newly crowned French Open champion remained highly focused as he wrapped up the continuation of his match against Jiri Lehecka, which had been suspended on Monday.
With a score of 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, the Hamburg native finally sealed the victory in yesterday’s resumption, thereby finally breaking his personal Wimbledon curse—after all, this is his very first quarterfinal in southwest London.
Now he’ll face his ultimate nemesis, Taylor Fritz. The American recently swept past Alexander Bublik in record time and heads into this showdown in peak physical condition.
A look at their head-to-head history is also enough to make Zverev fans tremble: Fritz has won all seven of their most recent matches against the German No. 1—including the legendary 2024 Wimbledon round of 16 and their most recent meeting on grass in the Halle semifinals.
So Zverev will have to draw on all his newfound Grand Slam confidence to break this curse, but that won’t be easy at all.
My expert tip: Zverev’s energy will wane as the match goes on
Wimbledon betting today, July 8: Cobolli – Fery (3:40 p.m.)
Flavio Cobolli swept past Alex de Minaur in straight sets on Monday, delivering what I consider one of the bigger upsets of this tournament.
Especially since the Australian was the clear favorite on the betting markets heading into the match.
The Italian Roland Garros finalist displayed brutal power tennis from the baseline, came back from a 2–5 deficit in the second set, and, with a healthy dose of confidence, stormed unstoppably into his second consecutive Wimbledon quarterfinal.
Since Grigor Dimitrov also had to bow out unexpectedly early, today’s match on Center Court will feature a showdown between the tournament’s two biggest surprises. Cobolli will face British wild-card hero Arthur Fery there.
The 23-year-old local hero has already stunned the crowds several times and has thus sensationally reached the quarterfinals. However, his run should end here!
Cobolli has been incredibly consistent lately, having played at the peak of his abilities consistently since the French Open.
My expert tip: Cobolli has been a rare disappointment so far in 2026!
Tennis Betting Today, July 8: Noskova – Mertens (2:15 p.m.)
21-year-old Linda Noskova is impressively continuing the Czech Republic’s glorious Wimbledon history in southwest London.
In the round of 16, the Czech raw diamond dismantled former Australian Open champion Madison Keys in the style of a true class act, winning in two straight sets, 6–4, 7–6.
As the youngest Czech player since Petra Kvitova in 2011, she thus earned her well-deserved spot in the quarterfinals on Church Road. There, she’ll face Elise Mertens in a quarterfinal showdown today.
While Noskova impresses with her carefree attitude and powerful groundstrokes, the experienced Belgian brings the composure needed for this late stage of the tournament.
On the fast grass, it will come down above all to who keeps their nerves in check during the decisive rallies and makes fewer errors. But I actually see the youngster ultimately coming out on top again, this time 2–1!
My expert tip: Close match
Tennis Betting Today, July 8: Kostyuk – Paolini (2:30 p.m.)
Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk is riding a wave of sheer euphoria on Church Road. In the fourth round, the No. 12 seed swept past American Ashlyn Krueger in straight sets!
With this victory, Kostyuk achieved a prestigious career milestone: she has now reached the quarterfinals at least once at each of the four Grand Slam tournaments. Her remarkable consistency in the decisive rallies ultimately proved the deciding factor in reaching this milestone.
Today, she’ll face off against Jasmine Paolini in the battle for the coveted semifinal spot. The top Italian player eliminated the Filipino tennis sensation Alexandra Eala in a thrilling three-set thriller.
Since their last head-to-head match was several years ago, the deck is, so to speak, being reshuffled. Nevertheless, I see the Ukrainian performing at a significantly higher level right now!
My expert tip: Kostyuk with more precision from the baseline
