Absolute top matches in the men’s Wimbledon semifinals. Carlos Alcaraz has already won the last two tournaments and is back in the last four in 2025. To reach the final, he must defeat Taylor Fritz, an absolute top server.
The Spaniard has improved with every match, most recently sweeping Cameron Norrie off the court without allowing the British crowd to get into the mood for euphoria. He will face much more resistance from Fritz and will be challenged more on his return.
In the parallel match, it’s a summit meeting. The number one faces the most successful player in history, Novak Djokovic. The two superstars have already fought some epic battles, most recently facing each other in the same round at the French Open.

I am more than satisfied with my Wimbledon haul. Ten of my twelve bets came in this tournament week alone, and my +7.5 games Dimitrov win against Sinner would have paid off if the Bulgarian hadn’t had to retire with a bitter injury. As it was, the stake was refunded.
Dimitrov was leading 2-0 in sets before his chest muscle gave way. But Sinner proved that he is no undeserving semi-finalist, quickly knocking Ben Shelton out of the tournament in the next round and celebrating his fourth straight win.
I expect a completely different match against Djokovic, as the two most reliable returners face each other for the third time at Wimbledon. Djokovic has won the only two grass court matches between them. In Paris, however, he went down in straight sets.

Wimbledon today, July 11: Fritz – Alcaraz (2:30 p.m.)
Although both players have been competing at world-class level for several years, Fritz and Alcaraz have only met twice. Alcaraz has already won twice on the Californian’s favorite surface, hard court. On grass, I see the Spaniard as the clear favorite. He has the more versatile game and can cope well with Fritz’s high tempo.
The man from El Palmar clearly has the better defensive game and mental edge. However, he has already dropped a set three times, which can happen quickly with Alcaraz. In such an important semifinal match, I can well imagine a 3-0 win in sets, but I think a tiebreak with the top server on the other side is more likely.

Wimbledon betting today 11.07.: Sinner – Djokovic (5:00 p.m.)
Sinner against Djokovic, we can expect a physical battle. Both players run a lot and always force their opponents to hit one more shot. With a 15-year age difference, Sinner has the advantage over a full match, but he is not as strong on grass as he is on hard court.
I didn’t have to think long about the odds for this match. Especially in the first sets, I think it’s a 50-50 affair. I can’t imagine a clear victory for either of the two stars here, even with the best will in the world. In addition, almost every set is likely to be a close contest.
