Man City Form & Balance Check
The reigning champions are picking up this season exactly where they left off last time. Under Pep Guardiola, the Citizens are playing an incredibly dominant brand of possession soccer that literally tires out most opponents. They have won four of their first four league games, but the truth is that City have not faced the big names in Ipswich Town, West Ham and Brentford. They also drew 0-0 against Inter Milan last week, in which they failed to really break down the Italian side’s defense. They are currently the only team in the Premier League to have won all four of their games and are therefore rightly top of the table. However, the Gunners are only two points behind the hosts and could take over this coveted lead in the table with a win.
Offensive fireworks
Manchester City can boast a very strong offense this season. With a goal difference of 11:3, they have the most dangerous offense in the Premier League to date. One reason for this is of course the Norwegian Erling Haaland. The City striker has already scored in the opening game against Chelsea, scored a hat-trick against Ipswich and West Ham and scored twice against Brentford on the last matchday. He seems to be in outstanding form at the moment and of course has one of the best midfielders at his back in Kevin de Bruyne.

Arsenal Form & Balance Check
After missing out on the final push last season and having to concede the Premier League title to their upcoming opponents, the Gunners are looking to attack again this season. They picked up three wins and a draw from their first four games and, unlike City, their opening program was well worth watching. Unlike City, the team from London is all about keeping a clean sheet at the back. The Gunners have impressed this season with their enormous compactness and stability at the back. In the league, they have kept a clean sheet in three out of four games and have only conceded one goal, making them, together with Liverpool, the best defense in the league. What’s more, Arsenal have not conceded in any of their last eleven away games in the league. They could now become the first team in Premier League history never to fall behind in twelve away games.

Pep Guradiola is likely to send his team out on the pitch again in a 3-4-2-1. It is unclear how many changes the coach will make after the Champions League match during the week. Gündogan is certainly an option in central midfield and Goku could start on the wing for Savinho. In Phil Foden, Guardiola has another attacking force at the top level.
Arsenal also had a clash in the Premier League during the week and could therefore make some changes. In the 4-3-3, Mikel Arteta may opt for new signing Calafiori in central defense, with Magalhaes on the bench for the time being.
