It’s only the 3rd round, and yet the duels that would have heated things up much later are already starting on Wimbledon’s hallowed turf! My analysis now focuses on Taylor Fritz and Alejandro Tabilo.
The American is 2:0 ahead in the direct duel, which is perhaps why he is the clear favorite with our bookmakers. But why I expect a relatively close match and think the underdog will win at least one set is revealed in my Fritz Tabilo betting tip
The number 12 in the world meets the number 19 – not a bad match-up for a 3rd round! Taylor Fritz will certainly not be happy about being served up such a challenging opponent.
The US-American was defeated by Casper Ruud in the round of 16 at the French Open and then began his grass court season. Although he won the doubles title in Queens, he lacked the necessary bite in the singles competition.
Jordan Thompson was surprisingly too strong for him. Fritz then played a rather strange tournament in Eastbourne. The best fact first of course: he won without losing a set.

In the first round, Fritz didn’t show any weakness at all, winning easily 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 against Christopher O’Connell. Arthur Rinderknech made things a little more difficult for him in round 2.
The favorite made a small break at 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, but only conceded one break and won an impressive 82% of points on his first serve. O’Connell had not broken at all in the first round, where the figure was as high as 95%.
It was only a few months ago that Fritz met Alejandro Tabilo for the second time. In Indian Wells, he defeated his current opponent 7-6, 6-2 and now leads the head-to-head 2-0.

Alejandro Tabilo naturally intends to stay in London. The Chilean has never been in the 3rd round of Wimbledon, so he has already achieved his best result on the hallowed turf.

Tabilo had the first thriller after his smooth 6-2, 7-5, 6-3 win against Daniel Evans, but he didn’t really need it. He was already leading 7-6, 7-6 against Flavio Cobolli.
After winning two tie-breaks, he took two sets, winning 7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 4-6, 6-4 in the end. He will not be at all satisfied with winning 59% of his points on his first serve, whereas in round one he had still managed well over 80%.
The champion from Mallorca was able to recharge his batteries just before the trip to Wimbledon, having only dropped one set on the Spanish island.
Tabilo is 27 years old, but it’s only on Saturday that he will serve in the 3rd round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time ever, so nervousness is naturally allowed

Taylor Fritz is heavily favored in the match against Alejandro Tabilo, but beware: The Chilean has traveled from Mallorca to London with the trophy and has reached the 3rd round of a Major for the first time.
The outsider should therefore not be underestimated. Since Taylor Fritz has been known for close results in recent weeks, I can imagine exactly the same for Saturday and therefore make a prediction:
